| The rapid development of information technology has brought our society into internet era,followed by a brand-new stage of micro-era demonstrated by the appearance of lots of micro things,such as We-chat,hint fiction,micro video and so on,which greatly enrich multimedia forms.Our life is henceforth more colorful,and we have more ways to kill time.The arrival of the micro-era also provides many new teaching and learning ways in education,and course contents and teaching modes become more innovative.Driven by the tide of micro innovation,micro-lecture came into being,a breakthrough for exploring new teaching modes by teachers who tend to use a visualized method to illustrate the teaching link or the target knowledge.With its unique and original form,micro-lecture encourages more teaching and educational reform and has become a research focus.Learning interest is very important for a foreign language learner.In the course of learning English,especially for primary school students,learning interest is more vital because primary English is in the enlightenment stage.The research and development of micro-lecture paves a new way to increase the interest in learning a foreign language.This thesis tends to explore the effect of micro-lecture on the application in primary English teaching and the increase of interest in English learning.The aim is to promote the study of micro-lecture application in English teaching and to provide a valuable case for improving English teaching.The focus of this study is on the application of micro-lecture out of class,mainly from two aspects: knowledge enhancement,intellectual development.The author of this thesis first has an overview of the concepts and features of micro-lecture and learning interest,and then summarizes the recent researches on micro-lecture’s applications and primary English learning interest.Finally,Based on the New Curriculum Standard and the study characteristics of primary school students,the author designs micro-lectures,choosing one unit in the textbook as teaching material,and applies them in out-of-class teaching for the research of developing English learning interest.The research chooses two classes of grade six in a primary school at random and divide them into two groups,the experimental group and the controlgroup,and tests the students’ English learning interest respectively before and after the research in the form of questionnaire relevant to learning attitudes and learning mood.According to the results analysis of the questionnaire,this study comes to its conclusion as follows: 1)Micro-lecture is one of the effective ways to assist students’ study out of class.2)Micro-lecture can develop and keep primary English learning interest. |
