The competition for talents is the fiercest among modern companies for the purpose that the quality of talents is directly related to the development, progress and success of the companies.Nowadays, not only professional skills but also comprehensive quality such as personality are taken into consideration in the recruitment of employees. The Enneagram is a kind of subtle tool for personality analysis. It is used to identify people’s characteristics so that they can realize their shortcomings and exert their merits.People get to know the types of others’ personality,so that they can learn how to communicate, get along and build more sincere and harmonious relation with others. So the promotion of the Enneagram is of great significance for companies to recruit talents. The author selected the video of the opening ceremony of 5th Enneagram IEA China Conference as the interpreting material.Based on the speech of the speakers in the conference, the author did Chinese-English and English-Chinese CI interpretation practice. The author practically recorded every single step of the whole process, and used interpreting theory and skills to analyze and summarize the problems in this process for the purpose of forming this report. The author served as the interpreter for this practice, and invited one professional teacher and three schoolmates to watch the process, and then got assessment and instruction from them. This interpreting report was only a simulated consecutive interpreting practice, and it was so different from real consecutive interpreting. So there was bound to be some limits in the analysis. The author hoped to provide value for others when they do similar research.
