A Report On C-E Interpreting Of Tao Yuan Lun Dao Talk Show

With the enrichment of social culture,Chinese Internet culture has developed quickly in such an open and a tolerant environment created by China.Therefore,many We Media programs and independent cultures emerged.The cultural transmission mode represented by TV and broadcasting is increasingly affected by new modes of communication such as microblog and WeiChat,which shows the great influence of We Media and independent culture.Logic Show with the main speaker Luo Zhenyu came into being in 2012 and gradually became the most popular and successful We Media program.Tao Yuan Lun Dao is a Talk Show program based on the criticism on Logic Show.The author will choose Tao Yuan Lun Dao Talk Show as the interpreting material and interpret it under the guidance of the interpretive theory.The interpretive theory,born in the 1960s,believes that to interpreting is to paraphrase.In other words,it believes that interpreting is the understanding of the original meaning of the speaker through the combination between linguistic knowledge and cognitive knowledge.And the core of interpretive theory is to distinguish the non-verbal sense from the linguistic meaning,which lays emphasis on the communication of the non-verbal sense of the speaker in the discourse rather than the meaning of linguistic symbols.After the interpreting of all the videos,the author will make a case study of the interpreting from mainly three aspects:the interpreting of phrases,the interpreting of sentences and the interpreting of historical culture.With the detailed analysis,the author will conclude the challenges during the interpreting process and the interpreting experience.Therefore,some advice for the future interpreting will be given in the end.
