Objective:In this study, based on the understanding of the basic etiology and pathogenesis of the third lumbar transverse process syndrome, the clinical efficacy of the treatment of the syndrome by means of muscle regions row acupuncture was observed. In order to provide a clinical basis for the treatment of the third lumbar transverse process syndrome by acupuncture, and to compare the clinical treatment methods with better efficacy. Methods:In this study, patients who were treated in the outpatient department of the first affiliated hospital of Tianjin university of traditional Chinese medicine between March 2019 and December 2019 were collected, and those who met the study criteria were randomly divided into two groups. The observation group was treated with muscle regions row acupuncture, and the control group was treated with conventional acupuncture.VAS score and ODI index of patients were recorded before and after treatment to observe their changes, comprehensively evaluate the treatment effect of patients in the two groups, and truthfully record the adverse events during the clinical trial.Results:1 Based on the comparison of baseline data between the two groups, the two groups were similar in gender, age and overall condition before treatment(P >0.050),which was statistically comparable. In the observation group,30 cases of the patients with the syndrome were included,1 case was removed and 29 cases were completed. In the control group,30 cases of patients with the syndrome were included,1 case was removed, and 29 cases were completed. The completion rate of the two groups was the same.2 The curative effect of the observation group is better than that of the control group(P < 0.050),and there was a statistical difference in clinical efficacy between the two groups. The observation group, which total effective rate was 86.2%,was more effective than the control group which was 65.5%.The total effective rate of the two groups was compared(P=0.037 < 0.050),which had clinical significance.3 M(Q)of VAS score before treatment in the two groups was 8(2)and 7(1),respectively,and P>0.050.The ±s of ODI were 0.71±0.14 and 0.70±0.13,respectively,and P>0.050.The VAS score and ODI were comparable between the two groups before treatment. The median VAS score before and after treatment in the observation group was 8 and 2,respectively.The median VAS score of the control group was 7 and 3,respectively.The improvement of the third lumbar transverse process tenderness in the observation group was better than that in the control group. The ODI indexes of the observation group before and after treatment were 0.71 and 0.32,respectively.The ODI indexes of the control group were 0.70 and 0.44,respectively.The improvement of waist function in the observation group was better than that in the control group.Conclusions:1 Both the muscle regions row acupuncture and the conventional acupuncture therapy can obviously relieve the pain of the patients with the syndrome and improve the lumbar activity function, but the curative effect of t muscle regions row acupuncture is better.2 Compared with conventional acupuncture therapy, the clinical efficiency of the syndrome patients was significantly improved.
