Case Work Intervention Of "Spiritual Care" For Cancer Patients

The rapid development of economy has changed people's life style and worsened people's living environment.Cancer has become a major disease that endangers people's health.According to the world health organization(WHO),China has 30 percent of the world's annual cancer cases and millions of cancer deaths each year.Although modern medical technology has a remarkable interventional effect on patients with early stage cancer,the means of diagnosis and treatment for patients with advanced stage cancer are very limited,which can only passively prolong their survival time and cannot change their quality of life.The WHO advocates "palliative care" and the lika-shing foundation promotes "palliative care",which is essentially to improve the quality of life of cancer patients through pain relief and spiritual care.Clinical practice of advanced cancer at home and abroad shows that patients pay more attention to the quality of life.Social work involves in the spiritual care practice of patients with advanced cancer,which puts forward the proposition of feasibility,necessity and urgency for the life care of cancer patients.Surrounding cancer patients "spiritual care" this proposition,this paper introduced the research background and significance,research status at home and abroad,on the basis of based on the research of the spiritual concept,combing with the relations between the perceptual and the rational,spiritual,has carried on the body,mind,spirit,the comparison of different needs,perspective theory and the superiority of based theme briefly illustrates maslow's hierarchy of needs;By collecting the client's information,investigating and evaluating the client's spiritual needs,the feasibility goal is made,and the appropriate specific implementation plan is designed.Under the guidance of relevant theories,this paper USES the case method of social work to explore the ways and methods of carrying out "spiritual care" service for cancer patients from the aspects of tranquility,life value,communion and transcendence.Through the summary and reflection,the problems and deficiencies in the service process are found out,which provides a reference experience for better carrying out the work of "spiritual care" for cancer patients.This article through to the cancer patient body,the mind,the society,the spirit four dimensions spiritual care intervention practice,has satisfied the client's deep inner needs,has achieved the maintenance life dignity,pays attention to the life quality service goal.It is hoped that the author's research can arouse the public's attention to the issue of "spiritualcare" and promote the perfection and development of the theory and practice of "spiritual care".
