Objective:The aim of this study is to investigate the bio-psycho-social-spiritual level and the current situation of nurse spiritual therapeutics demand of cancer patients in Nanchang,to explore the relationship between spiritual level and quality of life, spiritual well-being and nurse spiritual therapeutics demand of cancer patients. To provide a theoretical basis for improving the spiritual level and quality of life of cancer patients. Methods:In this study, purposive sampling method was used and 156 patients that met the inclusion criteria were chosen from 3 Three A-level hospitals in Nanchang, between August 2017 and December 2017.General situation questionnaire,The Chinese version of the functional assessment of chronic illness therapy—spiritual well-being(FACIT-Sp)and The Chinese version of the nurse spiritual therapeutics scale(NSTS)were used in the research.SPSS(version 22.0)was used for statistical analysis which included statistical description,t test,one-way ANOVA,Pearson correlations and hierarchical multiple regressions.Results:1.Totally 156 patients who meeting the standard were investigated,145 effective questionnaires were recovered, the effective questionnaire recovery rate was 93%.2.The total score of FACIT-Sp of cancer patients was(92.59±19.12),including FACT-G(65.63±13.12)and FACIT-Sp-12(26.97±7.43).The total score of NSTS of cancer patients was(32.12±4.54).3.Except that the dimension of faith was not related to the dimension of physical well-being(r=0.156,P>0.05),there was a significant positive correlation between the total score of FACIT-Sp-12,the scores of all dimensions and the total scores of FACT-G and the dimensions of cancer patients(r=0.231~0.755,P<0.01).4.There was a significant positive correlation between the total score of FACIT-Sp-12,the scores of all dimensions and the total score of NSTS in cancer patients(r=0.298 ~ 0.384,P < 0.01),positive correlation with some dimensions(r=0.167~0.412,P<0.05).5.Hierarchical multiple regressions revealed that quality of life as a dependent variable, demographic and diagnosis characteristics variables(age, average monthly income of family, post diagnosis time, clinicopathologic stage, recrudescence)were held constant in the first step, added 3 variables(faith, meaning, peace)one after another, the explanatory power of independent variable to the variation of dependent variable increased by 3.5%,9.5% and 12.9%,respectively.6.Hierarchical multiple regressions revealed that cancer patients, needs for nurse spiritual therapeutics as a dependent variable, demographic and diagnosis characteristics variables(post diagnosis time, gender, religious belief)were held constant in the first step, added 2 variables(faith, meaning)one after another, the explanatory power of independent variable to the variation of dependent variable increased by5.1 % and 4.6 %,respectively.Conclusions:1.The total score of FACIT-Sp including FACT-G and FACIT-Sp-12 in cancer patients was medium level,as well as the total score of NSTS.2.There was a significant positive correlation between spiritual well-being and quality of life in cancer patients as well as between spiritual well-being and cancer patients, needs for nurse spiritual therapeutics.3.Quality of life of cancer patients was influenced significantly by age, average monthly income of family, post diagnosis time, clinicopathologic stage, recrudescence, faith, meaning, peace,so spiritual well-being was a predictor of the quality of life.Cancer patients, needs for nurse spiritual therapeutics was affected significantly by gender, religious belief, post diagnosis time, faith, meaning,it is known that spiritual well-being was also an influencing factor.4.In the future, nurses should evaluate the spiritual well-being of cancer patients and provide targeted spiritual care, which improves their spiritual well-being and quality of life.
