Objective: The four slits of traditional Chinese medicine were used to treat children with moderate malnutrition. The changes in clinical efficacy, physical indexes and syndrome scores were observed after treatment to determine whether The treatment could be extended to clinical residents. Methods: Fifty-one children diagnosed with moderate malnutrition were divided into observation group and control group by randomized controlled trial, including 30 cases in observation group and 21 cases in control group. The children in both groups received health education guidance, and the observation group received combined intervention with four-slit acupoint puncturing, with a course of 8 weeks. The evaluation criteria of efficacy included height, weight, total syndrome score and weight, appetite, spirit and mood, complexion, hair, stool, sleep and molar clinical syndrome score before and after treatment.Results:1.Physical indicators: after treatment, the observation group and the control group were compared within and between groups, and the differences in body weight and height were statistically significant(P<0.05).the results showed that the four-seam acupoint therapy was better than the health education group in promoting the weight and height growth of children with moderate malnutrition.2.Clinical efficacy: In the observation group, the cure rate was 0%,the apparent efficiency was 6.67%,the effective rate was 60.00%,the ineffective rate was 33.33%,and the total effective rate was 66.67%.In the control group, the cure rate was 0%,the apparent efficiency was 0%,the effective rate was 42.86%,the ineffective rate was 57.14%,and the total effective rate was 42.86%.There was no statistically significant difference in clinical efficacy between the observation group and the control group(P>0.05),but the total effective rate of the observation group was 66.67% higher than that of the control group(42.86%).3.Syndrome integral aspect: Before and after treatment, the observation group and the control group were compared within the group, and the differences in total clinical syndrome scores were statistically significant(P<0.05),that is,the total clinical syndrome score of children with moderate malnutrition could be improved by both acupoint selection and health education. After comparison between the two groups, there was no statistically significant difference in the total clinical syndrome score between the two groups before and after treatment(P>0.05),that is to say, there was no difference in the improvement of the total score of clinical syndrome between needling four-seam therapy and health education. The clinical syndromes of the observation group before and after treatment were compared within the group, among which the differences in body weight, appetite, spirit and mood, stools and complexion syndrome scores were statistically significant(P<0.05),that is,the score of all syndromes could be improved by needling four-seam therapy. When compared between the two groups, there was a statistical difference in appetite syndrome score(P<0.05),indicating that the children with moderate malnutrition were superior to the health education group in improving the score of appetite syndrome after needling four-seam treatment. There was no difference in the scores of weight, spirit and mood, sleep, stool, hair, complexion, and molar syndrome. Conclusion: Health education guidance treatment is effective for children with moderate malnutrition.Increasing the four-seam acupoint therapy can promote the weight and height growth of children, improve the clinical symptoms of children with better clinical efficacy, and the method is simple and easy, without adverse reactions, which is worthy of clinical application.
