The Therapeutic Effect Of Modified Shugan Xiaoluo Pills On Mammary Gland Hyperplasia With Liver-Qi Stagnation:A Retrospective Study

Objective: Through a retrospective study on the patients with Mammary Gland Hyperplasia caused by liver-qi stagnation,the clinical efficacy of modified Shugan Xiaoluo pills was evaluated to provide reference basis for clinical medication.Methods: According to the inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria,a retrospective study was conducted to collect 60 cases of Mammary Gland Hyperplasia caused by liver-qi stagnation that were clearly diagnosed in the outpatient department of Chinese medicine and Breast armor surgery of Zunyi medical college affiliated hospital from August 2015 to August 2019.According to the clinical medication,they were divided into a group of modified Shugan Xiaoluo pills(group A)with 30 cases and another group of Rukuaixiao oral liquid group(group B)with 30 cases.The improvement of breast-related symptoms,signs(mastalgia,breast lump)and syndrome groups of liver-qi stagnation(depression,irritability,dysmenorrhea,ullness or distending pain in the hypochondrium and sighing frequently)after taking the medicine for 1 menstrual cycle and 2 menstrual cycles were compared between the two groups.All the collected data were analyzed by SPSS 18.0.Results: In this study,modified Shugan Xiaoluo pills and Rukuaixiao oral liquid can both relieve breast pain and improve breast-related signs as well as syndrome groups of liver-qi stagnation(dysmenorrhea,ullness or distending pain in the hypochondrium and sighing frequently).Among them,modified Shugan Xiaoluo pills are better than Rukuaixiao oral liquid in relieving mastalgia,dysmenorrhea,ullness or distending pain in the hypochondrium and sighing frequently(P<0.05).In the aspect of reducing breast mass size and improving mass texture,after taking medicine for one menstrual cycle,the effect of modified Shugan Xiaoluo pills is better than that of Rukuaixiao oral liquid(P<0.05).After two menstrual cycles,the effect of the two medications was equivalent(P>0.05).In the aspect of improving irritability,the curative effect of modified Shugan Xiaoluo pills is equal to that of Rukuaixiao oral liquid after one menstrual cycle(P=0.182),and superior to that of Rukuaixiao oral liquid after two menstrual cycles(P=0.038).However,modified Shugan Xiaoluo pills has no significant advantage in improving the distribution range of breast lump and depression(P>0.05).Overall curative effect evaluation(improvement of breast-related symptoms and signs and syndrome group of liver-qi stagnation),the total effective rate of modified Shugan Xiaoluo pills in treating one menstrual cycle is 80%,and that of Rukuaixiao oral liquid is 70%,with no significant difference(P=0.158).After treating two menstrual cycles,the total effective rate of modified Shugan Xiaoluo pills rises to 90%,and that of Rukuaixiao oral liquid is 83.3%,significantly better than that of Rukuaixiao oral liquid(P=0.017).Conclusion: Among the female patients with Mammary Gland Hyperplasia caused by liver-qi stagnation in this study,both modified Shugan Xiaoluo pills and Rukuaixiao oral liquid can effectively relieve mastalgia,improve breast lump and the syndrome group of liver-qi stagnation(dysmenorrhea,ullness or distending pain in the hypochondrium and sighing frequently).The modified Shugan Xiaoluo pills are superior to Rukuaixiao oral liquid in improving the breast-related symptoms and signs(mastalgia,the size of breast lump,mammographic texture)and the syndrome group of liver-qi stagnation(irritability,dysmenorrhea,ullness or distending pain in the hypochondrium and sighing frequently),but it is effective but not significant in reducing the distribution range of breast lump and improving the depressive state,suggesting that modified Shugan Xiaoluo pills can be effectively applied to Mammary Gland Hyperplasia with liver-qi stagnation.
