Observation On Clinical Efficacy And Pathological Changes Of Patients With Chronic Atrophic Gastritis After Treated By Weierkang

Objective:To observe the changes of clinical symptoms and histopathology of patients with chronic atrophic gastritis(CAG)before and after treated by Weierkang,to record the occurrence of adverse drug reactions during treatment,to evaluate the improvement of clinical symptoms and the reversal effect of glandular atrophy of patients with CAG,and to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of Weierkang in the treatment of CAG.Methods:76 patients who were diagnosed as CAG by gastroscopy and histopathology in the First Hospital of Shanxi Medical University were collected and detected of Helicobacter pylori(H.pylori)by 14C-urea breath test.The H.pylori positive patients were treated with quadruple eradication therapy first.When H.pylori were proven to be cleared,the patients would be treated with Weierkang tablet for 3 months.The H.pylori negative patients oraled Weierkang tablet for 3 months directly.The occurrence of adverse drug reactions were recorded during treatment.At the end of the course of treatment,the changes of clinical symptoms and histopathology of all patients before and after taking Weierkang were analyzed by the method of self-control.Results:1.Except for acid regurgitation,the upper abdominal pain,dry mouth,nausea,abdominal distention,belching and poor appetite of CAG patients were significantlyimproved after treatment,the symptom scores were significantly reduced(P<0.05),the effective rates were 92.86%,88.89%,83.33%,94.74%,77.78%,85.71% respectively.2.After treatment,the score of atrophy and intestinal metaplasia decreased significantly(P<0.05),and the effective rate was 73.33% and 66.67% respectively.In some patients,atrophy and intestinal metaplasia of gastric mucosa were reversed.There was no statistical difference between the score of atypical hyperplasia before and after treatment(P>0.05).3.Two patients experienced numbness of the lips and abdominal discomfort during treatment separately.The incidence of adverse reactions was 2.63%.Conclusion:Weierkang can effectively relieve the clinical symptoms of CAG patients,improve or even partly reverse atrophy and intestinal metaplasia of gastric mucosa to a certain extent,with occasional incidence of adverse reactions.
