The Clinical Investigation On Gastritis Prescription In Treating Chronic Atrophic Gastritis

Objective: to study the therapy effect of Tcm on eliminating damp-heat and invigorating the spleen-qi clearing away congestion in CAG with spleen-stomach Damp-Heat and Congestion.Subjects and Methods: 120Hp-infected chronic atrophic gastritis (CAG) patients Classified spleen. Stomach Damp-Heat and congestion were enrolled as subjects , and divided into two groups at random. 62 cases belonged to TCM treatment group (32 male , 30 females , with an avevage age of 45.61 + 11.03), 58 cases as control. Were western Medicine therapy (32 male , 26 female , with an average age of 43,18 +10.02),All 120 patients were examined by the endoscopy and histopathology. The bioposied specimens of the all patients were obtained from the gastric antral mucosa.those were diagnosed as the chronic atrophic gastritis and Hp infection according to the examining results. W-S staining and rapid urease or were performed to determine the Hp Status of the gastric antral mucosa biopsies, the H-E staining histopathological changes were observed by biological microscopy . TCM on eliminating damp-heat , invigorating the spleen-qi and clearing away congestion was given to the test groups patients, the western medicine , Sucralfate and (po tid )were administrated to the Control. Result:1. the clinical therapy effect (the relief of symptom and positive sign)of TCM group comparing the western medicine treatment group was statistically different (p<0.05)2. For the relieving gastric mucosa by endoscopy , the TCM were Statistically different from the western medicine group(control) (p<0.05)3.For the hitstopathology on chronic inflammatory , gastric gland atrophy ,intestinal metaplasia and ATP, the therapy effect of the two group were Statistically different.the TCM therapy group was superior to the western medicine group(P<0.05)4.For Hp eradication, the TCM therapy group were equal with the western medicine group ,and not statisticallydifferent.(P>0.05) Conclusion:After the therapy by TCM with function of eliminating damp-heat, invagorating the spleen-qi and clearing away congestion, the effect on eradicating Hp,relieving symptom and positive sign relieving chronic inflammatory , gastric glands atrophy , intestinal metaplasia and ATP was prospective.
