Objective:To understand the status of domestic clinical nurses' post competency and to analyze the differences in clinical nurses' post competencies with different demographic characteristics.And then clarifying the influencing factors of Chinese nurse's post competency,and providing relevant measures for relevant administrative departments.Research methods:The clinical nurses of 12 medical institutions in Shenyang,Liaoning,Hohhot,Inner Mongolia,Chengdu,Sichuan,and Qingdao,Shandong Province were selected by random sampling.The post competency of clinical nurses was investigated by an anonymous questionnaire composed of self-designed basic information questionnaire and Nurse Competency Scale(NCS).The t test and analysis of variance were used to compare the differences of different demographic characteristics.The total score and scores of each dimension of NCS scale were taken as dependent variables,and factors such as gender,age,household registration,children or no children,different educational background,different monthly income,different categories of personnel,different hospital level and different professional titles were taken as independent variables.Multiple linear regression analysis was used to analyze the influencing factors of post competency score.Results:The Cronbach's ? coefficient of the NCS scale is 0.990,and the Cronbach's ? coefficients of the seven dimensions are 0.921,0.961,0.937,0.945,0.953,0.930,and 0.968,indicating that the NCS scale has good reliability.The KMO test value of the NCS scale is 0.986,the approximate chi-square value of the Bartlett's spherical test is 70011.735,the P value is less than <0.001,and the number of common factors extracted by the factor analysis is seven,which is the same as the dimension of the scale,and the cumulative variance contribution rate is 70.31%,explained a total of 70.31% variation.The average score of clinical nurses' job competency was(82.66±10.25)and the scores of each dimension were work role,managing situations,therapeutic interventions,ensuring quality,diagnostic functions,teaching coaching and helping role in order from high to low.The results of multi-factor analysis showed that gender,age,monthly income,household registration,hospital level,frequent direct contact with patients,frequent work and undertaking teaching tasks are related to the helping role dimension score of post competency(P<0.05).Gender,age,monthly income,category of staff,frequent direct contact with patients,and undertaking teaching tasks and hospital level were related to the grade of the educational guidance dimension of the post competency(P<0.05).Gender,age,monthly income,category of staff,frequent direct contact with patients and undertaking teaching tasks are related to the diagnostic functions dimension score of post competency(P<0.05).Gender,education background,monthly income,category of staff,frequent direct contact with patients,hospital level and undertaking teaching tasks are related to managing situations dimension score of post competency(P<0.05).Gender,monthly income,category of staff,frequent direct contact with patients and undertaking teaching tasks are related to therapeutic interventions dimension score of post competency(P<0.05).Age,monthly income,category of staff,frequent direct contact with patients and undertaking teaching tasks are related to ensuring quality dimension score of post competency(P<0.05).Gender,age,education background,monthly income,category of staff and frequent direct contact with patients were correlated with work role dimension score of post competency(P<0.05).Gender,age,education background,monthly income,category of staff,direct contact with patients and undertaking teaching tasks are related to total score of post competency(P<0.05).Conclusion:NCS scale has good reliability and validity.The overall score of competency of clinical nurses is good and the scores of each dimension were work role,managing situations,therapeutic interventions,ensuring quality,diagnostic functions,teaching coaching and helping role in order from high to low.Gender,age,education background,monthly income,category of staff,whether to undertake teaching tasks and whether to have direct contact with patients have a significant impact on the post competency of clinical nurses.Females,aged 25-35 years,monthly income > 4000 yuan,and the authorized strength clinical nurses have higher job competency scores and scores higher in each dimension.
