ObjectiveBy observing the effect of wind dispelling and nose awakening therapy on serum IL-5and IL-33 in children with AllergicRhinitis(AR)caused by wind evil invading lung, the pathogenesis of AR is further improved, and the mechanism of wind dispelling and nose awakening therapy on AR(lung type caused by wind evil)is clarified,so as to improve the clinical efficacy.MethodsFifty-four children who met the AR diagnostic criteria for children and the key diagnostic points of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)symptoms of pathogenic wind invading the lung in outpatient clinics of Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine affiliated People's Hospital(hereinafter referred to as the Provincial People's Hospital)and Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine affiliated Second People's Hospital(hereinafter referred to as the Provincial Second People's Hospital)were randomly divided into Chinese medicine treatment group with 27 cases(Group A)and western medicine control group with 27 cases(Group B).At the same time,30 healthy children were selected as healthy control group(group C)in the physical examination center of the provincial people's hospital.Group A was treated with oral Shufeng Xingbi prescription and external Chinese medicine Xingbi gel nasal drops.Group B was treated with oral cetirizine hydrochloride tablets(Xiantemin)and external mometasone furoate aqueous nasal spray(Neishuna)for 4 weeks as a course of treatment.Serum IL-5,IL-33 and OVA sIgE concentrations were measured before treatment and 4 weeks after treatment. Before treatment and 4 weeks after treatment, both groups A and B were respectively graded for symptoms and signs and evaluated for curative effect. The results of the study were analyzed with SPSS 26.0 statistical software package.Results1.Before treatment, there was no significant difference in sex and age composition between group A and group B(P > 0.05).The levels of IL-5,IL-33 and OVAsIgE in blood of group A and group B were significantly higher than those of group C(P <0.05).2.After 4 weeks of treatment, compared with before treatment, the levels of IL-5,IL-33,OVA sIgE in blood of group A and group B decreased significantly(p < 0.05),but there was no significant difference between group A and group B(P > 0.05).3.There was no significant difference in the improvement of symptoms and signs between group A and group B.(P > 0.05).ConclusionsThe results of this study showed that the levels of IL-5,IL-33 and OVA sIgE in children with AR were increased, and Th1/Th2 was out of balance.Chinese medicine Shufeng Xingbi Prescription combined with Xingbi Gel Nasal Drops may achieve the therapeutic goal by reducing the expression of IL-5 and IL-33,correcting the imbalance of Th1/Th2,reducing the release of inflammatory mediators and reducing the secretion of OVA sIgE.Shufeng Xingbi Prescription and Xingbi Gel Nasal Drops can obviously improve the symptoms and signs of children with AR,and improve the quality of life of children.Compared with western medicine control group, the curative effect has no significant difference.
