Effect Of Shufeng Xingbi Therapy On Serum IL-18 And IL-37 In Children With Allergic Rhinitis(Wind Evil Encroach Lung-type)

Objective:To treat children with allergic rhinitis(AR)by applying the method of Shufeng Xingbi Therapy,and to observe the expression of serum interleukin-18(interleukin,IL-18)and interleukin 37(interleukin,IL-37)before and after treatment the difference in level,aims to improve the pathogenesis of AR,clarify the mechanism of the treatment of children’s AR(wind evil encroach lung-type)by Shufeng Xingbi Therapy,and provide new ideas for clinical treatment in order to improve the efficacy.Methods: 30 healthy children were selected as the healthy control group(Group C)in the Physical Examination Center of the People’s Hospital Affiliated to Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine,and 54 cases of children with AR diagnosis were selected in the outpatient clinic of the People’s Hospital of Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the Second People’s Hospital of Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.The children with allergic rhinitis were diagnosed according to the standard points of the diagnosis of the traditional Chinese medicine symptom of Wind evil encroach lung-type,and they were randomly divided into 27 cases in the traditional Chinese medicine treatment group(group A)and 27 cases in the western medicine control group(group B).Group A was treated with oral administration of Shufeng Xingbi Recipe and external use of Chinese medicine Xingbi Gel Nasal Drops.Group B was given Cetirizine Hydrochloride Tablets(Zentermin)and Mometasone Furoate Nasal Spray(Nesuna),4 weeks as a course of treatment;Serum IL-18,IL-37,Ovalbumin Specific Ige(OVA sIgE)concentrations were measured in each group before and after 4 weeks of treatment.Before treatment and after 4weeks of treatment,the two groups of A and B were respectively quantified and graded the symptoms and signs and the evaluation score of the curative effect.For the collected data,the data conforming to the normal distribution are expressed as mean of standard deviation and the data not conforming to the normal distribution are expressed as median and quartile(m(P25,P75)),And statistical analysis with SPSS26.0 statistical software package.Results:1.Before treatment,there was no significant difference in gender and age composition between the two groups A and B(P > 0.05).The serum IL-18 and OVA sIgE concentrations in the two groups A and B were higher than those in group C(P < 0.05);The serum IL-37 concentration was lower than that in group C(P < 0.05).2.After 4 weeks of treatment,the serum IL-18 and OVA sIgE concentrations in groups A and B were significantly lower than before treatment(P < 0.05),and the serum IL-37 concentration was significantly increased(P < 0.05);while A There was no significant difference between the two groups(P > 0.05),and there was no significant difference in the improvement of symptoms and signs between the two groups(P > 0.05).Conclusion:The results of this study indicate that children with AR have elevated serum IL-18 and OVA sIgE levels,decreased serum IL-37 levels,and Th1/Th2 imbalance.Chinese medicine Shufeng Xingbi Recipe combined with Xingbi Gel Nasal Drops in the treatment of children AR may achieve treatment by affecting the expression of IL-18 and IL-37,correcting Th1/Th2 imbalance,reducing the release of inflammatory mediators and the secretion of OVA sIgE purpose.The traditional Chinese medicine Shufeng Xingbi Recipe and Xingbi Gel Nasal Drops can significantly improve the symptoms and signs of children withAR and improve the quality of life of the children.There is no significant difference between the efficacy and the Western medicine control group.
