Clinical Observation On The Effect Of Dispersing Lung And Dispelling Cold And Relieving Cough Acupuncture On Treating Post-infectious Cough With Fenghanxifei

Objective: To evaluate the clinical effect of Dispersing Lung and Dispelling Cold and Relieving Cough formula acupuncture on treating Post-infectious Cough with Fenghanxifei.Methods: Sixty-eight patients with Post-infectious Cough(PIC)who were treated in Department of Acupuncture and Respiratory Medicine and Chinese Internal Medicine clinic Xiamen Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 07,2019 to January 07,2020 were collected.According to the principle of randomized control,the patients were divided into the test group and the control group,each group included 34 cases.The test group was given with Dispersing Lung and Dispelling Cold and Relieving Cough formula acupuncture treatment.Acupuncture prescription by the smell of Dazhui,Feishu,Fengchi,Fengmen,Lieque,Taiyuan,and Zusanli,once every other day,Treatment is ten days.The control group was treated with Compound Methoxyphenamine Capsules(brand name: Asmeton strong capsule)treatment,Two capsules of test drug were orally administrated to subjects thirty minutes after a meal 3 Times per day,Treatment is ten days.Before and after treatment,observing two sets of data,including The integral of TCM syndrome,cough visual analogue scale,determination of serum interleukin-8 level and safety indicators.After the above data is collected,the two sets of data will be analyzed for effectiveness and difference by SPSS 20.0for windows statistical software.Results:1.Clinical analysis: The test group of the total effective rate was 90.63 %,while the total effective rate was 80.65% in the control group,the test group is higher than the control group in the clinical comprehensive effective,there was significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05).2.Analysis of the TCM syndrome total score: Two groups were well improved in patients with the TCM syndrome total score comparison and between group comparison of two sets of TCM syndrome total score(P<0.05),and the degree of the improvement of the test group is better than the control group(P<0.05).3.Analysis of curative effect of main symptoms: The two groups before and after the treatment of average cough score of daytime and nocturnality,total cough score,and visual analogue scale comparison,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05),suggesting that two groups were effectively relieve cough symptom and cough degree,which can improve the patient's life quality.The two groups after the treatment of night cough score,total cough score,and visual analogue scale comparison,the degree of the improvement of the test group is better than control group(P<0.05).But the day after the treatment in the two groups of integral have no significant difference(P>0.05).4.Analysis of curative effect of secondary symptoms: The two groups after the treatment of the scores of all the secondary symptoms decreased,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the scores of expectoration,itchy throat,shortness of breath(P>0.05).However,in terms of aversion to wind and cold,the test group is superior to the control group with statistical significance(P<0.05).5.Serum interleukin-8 index analysis: Interleukin-8 levels of serum in both groups decreased after treatment(P<0.05),but there was no significant in reducing serum interleukin-8(P>0.05).Conclusion: Both of Dispersing Lung and Dispelling Cold and Relieving Cough formula acupuncture and Compound Methoxyphenamine Capsules have satisfactory clinical efficacy on treating Post-infectious Cough with Fenghanxifei,which may improve the patien's the clinical symptoms and life quality,while lower the interleukin-8 levels in the serum.Jade screen powder may be by the mechanism of regulatory immune mechanism and improve the airway inflammation which is play a role in the treatment.But the clinical comprehensive effective of Dispersing Lung and Dispelling Cold and Relieving Cough formula better than the control group,in particular,the test group had more advantages in improving nighttime cough,aversion to wind and cold,the TCM syndrome total score and life quality,that is worth of recognition and further study.
