Objective:In this study,a randomized controlled trial was designed to evaluate the efficacy and symptom improvement of tension balance acupuncture in the treatment of foot ptosis after stroke. Methods:In this study,60 patients with poststroke ptosis were randomly divided into two groups:the observation group and the control group,30 in each group. Both groups received basic medical treatment after stroke.Under the premise of basic treatment, the observation group was intervened by tension balance acupuncture, while the control group was intervened by routine acupuncture. The course of treatment in both groups was 4 weeks. Before and after treatment, the muscle strength of tibialis anterior muscle was evaluated by MMTand the spasticity of triceps crus muscle was improved by Ashworth(MAS)scale evaluation, gareeau standard evaluation of toe improvement, the comparison of the indexes of the lower extremity motor function test score of the simple Fugl Meyer motor function scoring method(FMA),the data obtained were statistically analyzed by SPSS 24.0 software, and the clinical effect of tension balance acupuncture on foot ptosis after stroke was observed.Results:1.Compared with the evaluation and grading of modified Ashworth spasm of lower limbs before and after treatment, the evaluation degree of the observation group was significantly better than that of the control group(P < 0.05).2.According to the gareeau standard, the improvement degree of toes in the observation group was 70% and 43.3% in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05),indicating that the improvement degree of toes in the observation group was significantly better than that in the control group.3.After treatment, the MMT of tibialis anterior muscle strength(Kendall percentage)in both groups was significantly higher than that before treatment(P < 0.05),indicating that both treatment methods had therapeutic effect on improving tibialis anterior muscle strength. The difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).4.After treatment, the scores of Fugl Meyer motor function scale(FMA)of the lower limbs in the two groups were significantly higher than those before treatment(P < 0.05),indicating that the two treatment methods could improve the scores of Fugl Meyer motor function scale(FMA)of the lower limbs;and the FMA scores in the treatment group were significantly higher than those in the control group, with a statistically significant difference(P < 0.05),indicating that the motor function of Fugl Meyer of the lower limbs in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group(P < 0.05)The improvement of the score was better than that of the control group. Conclusion:Tension balance acupuncture can effectively improve the clinical symptoms of patients with foot ptosis after stroke, relieve the spasm of triceps crus, improve the muscle strength of tibialis anterior muscle, promote the improvement of toe, improve the motor function of lower limbs, promote the recovery of motor function of lower limbs, and the clinical effect is better than that of conventional acupuncture, with high safety, easy for patients to accept, and goodclinical operability.
