Objective:The Randomized controlled trial was used to study the effects of tension balance percussion combined with Rood on lower limb muscle tone in stroke patients, and to determine the difference of clinical efficacy between this therapy and simple tension balance percussion therapy or simple Rood technique,to exp lore a new effective method for reducing the lower limb muscle tension of stroke patients. Methods:In the First Affiliated Hospital of Hunan University of Traditional Chinese medicine,90 stroke patients were selected, they were divided into three groups according to random number table:tens ion balance percussion group(30 cases),Rood technique group(30 cases),tension balance percussion group and Rood technique group(30 cases). In the tension balance tapping group, the tapping was performed once a day on the BiGuan,Ququan,JieXi,ShenMai,Xue Hai,Liang Qiu and Zhao Hai.The Rood technique group adopted slow traction, continuous pressure, compression of the hip joint, rapid brush and ice stimulation, once a daye.Tension balance percussion combined with Rood technique group combined the treatment of tension balance percussive therapy and Rood technique once a day.All the above methods were 1 course of treatment in 6 days, and 3 courses were treated continuously. After treatment,by comparing the rehabilitation evaluation indexes:The value of Peak Torque/Body Weight ratio of lower limb(PT/BW),the modified Ashworth muscle tension grade(MAS),the Fugl-Meyer lower limb motor function score(FMA-LE),the modified Barthel index(MBI),to analyze the clinical effect of each group, make clear the effect of tension balance percussive therapy combined with Rood technique on lower limb muscle tension of stroke patients.Results:1.Three groups of treatment have achieved a certain c linical effect, but the total effective rate of tension ba lance tapping combined with Rood was 89.64%,,which was better than the total effective rate was 63.33%in tensio n balance percussion group and 7 5.86%in Rood technique group,There were significant differences among groups(P<0.05 or 0.01).2.The PT/BW Values of lower limb in the three groups were significantly lower after treatment than before trea tment(P<0.05 or 0.01),and the combination of tension ba lance tapping and Rood technique group was superior to te nsion balance tapping group and Rood technique group(P<0.05 or 0.01).3.After treatment, the MAS-muscular tension of lower limbs in all three groups was significantly lower than th at before treatment(P<0.05 or 0.01),and the combination of tension balance tapping and Rood technique group was superior to tension balance tapping group and Rood techni que group(P<0.05 or 0.01).4.The FMA-LE scores of the three groups were signific antly higher after treatment than before treatment(P<0.05 or 0.01),and the combination of tension balance tapping and Rood technique group was superior to tension balance tapping group and Rood technique group(P<0.05 or 0.01).5.After treatment, the MBI score of the three groups was higher than that before treatment, but it was not si gnificant(P>0.05),moreover,there was no significant diffe rence between the combination of tension balance tapping and Rood technique group and the tension balance tapping group or Rood technique group(P>0.05).Conclusion:1.The combination of tension balance percussive therapy and Rood technique can effectively reduce the PT/BW value and the muscular tension of the lower limbs of stroke patients,The improvement of the activity of daily living is not obvious, but it can effectively improve the control ability of the lower limbs, improve the motor function of lower limbs.2.Tension balance percussion combined with Rood technique can effectively relieve the spasticity and physical signs of the lower limbs of stroke patients and improve the effective rate of treatment.
