| Objective: To observe the clinical effect on recovery of lower extremity function after stroke by Xing Nao Kai Qiao acupuncture and binding tendons nodes method.Method: 59 patients From First Teaching Hospital of Tianjin University of TCM,those who met the inclusion criteria,were in accordance random number table divided into observation group and control group randomly.One case of observation group falling,since the control group of 29 patients,two cases fall,the actual observation group included 27 cases,27 cases in the control group.With the same conventional treatment of stroke in both groups,observation group resuscitating Xing Nao Kai Qiao acupuncture combing binding tendons node,while control group with conventional acupuncture,mainly by hand,foot Yang Ming meridians.Observation group selected hip node,genuflect node,ankle flexion node,Chong Men point,and He Ding point,these six points with the "burning fire" stitch.Treatment: 1 week course of treatment,needles per week thorn six days,each patient received two courses of treatment.Respectively,before treatment,after the first acupuncture,the end of the first course,the end of the second course,during these times,we scale data records,and using SPSS software for statistical analysis.Observation Index:(1)Strength Evaluation: 0-V level evaluation stage 6 manual muscle strength evaluation method(Manual Muscle Test,MMT);(2)Lower extremity motor function evaluation: using Fugl-Meyer Assessment Scale lower extremity motor function;(3)Brunnstrom staging rating scale summarized as a supplement for muscle function evaluation scale FMA & MMT;(4)Evaluation dystonia: modified Ashworth scale application of muscular tension level before and after treatment of the subject groups were evaluated.Results:1.In general: there were no significantly different(p>0.050),between two groups before treatment in gender,age,duration,etc.In other subject,like NIHSS,course,side,etc.there were also no significant difference between the two groups(p>0.050)before treatment.2.Observation group after treatment than before in MMT,Fugl-Meyer scale score were significantly improved(p<0.050),no significant change in the control group(p> 0.050).At the same time,changes in the difference scores before and after treatment compared with significantly(p<0.050),the degree of improvement in the observation group is higher than the control group.3.Both groups before and after treatment were carried out Brunnstrom staging rating,rating change before and after treatment,however,there was no significant difference appears(p>0.050).In conjunction,with the Fugl-Meyer & MMT scale score,although the observation group and muscle strength lower limb motor function improved,and better than the control group,but the effect is still not significant.4.Changes modified by Ashworth scale before and after treatment of muscle tone,but the levels did not change significantly,only a few cases in the control group,there has been a slight increase,not universal.5.During this study,there was no adverse event occurred.Three cases off,two control subjects due to sudden cardiac illness,one death,another transferred for further treatment,the observation group patients off since personal reasons.These three shedding cases had no significant correlation with study and acupuncture.Conclusion: 1.By combing tendons node with the "burning fire" acupuncture treatment of patients recovering from stroke,clinically feasible.2.Xing Nao Kai Qiao acupuncture combing binding tendons node,post stroke recovery of motor function and lower extremity muscle strength in a patient having a certain effect.3.Xing Nao Kai Qiao acupuncture combing binding tendons node,(2 courses)improved limb function of stroke patients in the short-term recovery,more than with conventional Xing Nao Kai Qiao acupuncture.4.There is insufficient evidence that acupuncture 2 courses of treatment by Xing Nao Kai Qiao acupuncture combing binding tendons node,has a significant effect on improvement or prevention of dystonia in patients with stroke. |
