This study emphasizes on the impact of compensation management on employee performance with reference to Capital Hospital Kathmandu,Nepal.Due to the high rate of decrease in productivity of employees,the researcher strived to establish the relationship between performance and motivation among employees at work places.The study aimed at accentuating on the significance of motivating employees since this will encourage them to step up productivity.Primary and secondary bases of data collection,interview and administering questionnaires were used in administering o f this.The findings were verified by means of descriptive analysis using SPSS software.The findings of the research were grouped depending on the variables of the study so as to get the required infor mation.Conclusions were then drawn from the research findings and recommendations prepared so as to forecast the employees welfare and motivation and its resultant effects on productivity.The study revealed that compensation has a positive effect when it comes to the improvement of the performance and productivity of employees.It was realized that most healthcare professionals in particular and other employees in general tend to work harder when their organizations subjects them to some elements of compensation.However,most healthcare institutions in Kathmandu have not appreciated this scheme of management.An example is Capital Hospital where compensation is speficallly given to the selected few.In other words,the strategy of employees' compensation is not a general trend in Capital Hosptal in Kathmandu.Therefore,it is hypothesized that most employees in this hospital do not work optimally because of the prevailing selective compensation.
