Objective:To compare and analyze the clinical effects of intervertebral foramen and unilateral laminectomy in the treatment of lumbar disc herniation which would provide support for clinical practice. Methods: 60 patients with lumbar disc herniation were selected and divided into group A and group B.Group A underwent intervertebral foramen surgery and group B underwent unilateral laminectomy.Patients in group A and group B were observed and compared in terms of surgical attributes and postoperative efficacy. Results:Compared with the laminectomy group, the intraforaminal foramen group had lower incisions, operative blood loss, operative time and hospital stay, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).During postoperative follow-up,the two groups of patients had a good recovery, and the VAS score,ODI score and improved Macnab efficacy evaluation criteria were significantly improved compared with those before the operation, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).There was no significant difference between the two groups. Conclusion: Percutaneous intervertebral foramen is superior to traditional operation in short-term postoperative recovery and has certain therapeutic advantages, but there is no significant difference in clinical effect between the two methods in long-term follow-up observation.
