The Revision Of Modified Long Snake Moxibustion Sensation Scales And Its Application Research

Objective: The content of the original modified long snake moxibustion sensation scale has some limitations.In order to To show the characteristics and representativeness of the modified long snake moxibustion therapy better.Aiming at its items and dimensions,this study conducts the revision of the scale,test the reliability and validity of the revised scale,and then establish the modified long snake moxibustion sensation scale-2(MLMS-2).MLMS-2 is used for clinical evaluation to explore the relationship between moxibustion sensation and moxibustion efficacy.In the further scientific research and clinical work,it can provide an evaluation indicator.Methods:(1)By reviewing the compiling process and final result of the modified long snake moxibustion sensation scale,summarizing the shortcomings of it,and then figuring out the direction of the revision.(2)Setting up a research group,conducting the literature research,selecting suitable items and normalizing them,then forming the alternative items.(3)After the patient interviews and expert consultation,referring to the original scale,determine the alternative items,dividing the dimension of the scale,,and the draft of MLMS-2 is formed.(4)Investigating 300 samples,by using the critical ratio method,Chronbach's alpha coefficient analysis,correlation analysis,and factor analysis method to analyze the items of the draft,and picking out the qualified items,establishing the test version of MLMS-2.(5)Investigating 200 samples,analyzing the results to test the reliability and validity of the test version,and then forming MLMS-2.(6)By using modified long snake moxibustion to cure 30 cases of chronic fatigue syndrome(CFS)patients in 6 times,then versing the scores of MLMS-2 and fatigue scale-14(FS-14)to analyze the relationship between the moxibustion sensation and the moxibustion efficacy.Results:(1)According to literature research and item standardization processing,selecting 30 alternative items.(2)Through the deletion and supplement of the items,the draft of MLMS-2 is formed which contains 5 dimensions:heat penetration intensity,heat transfer,heat intensity of operating part of the body,special sensory intensity and emotional changes.The draft contains 20 items,all of them are evaluated by visual analogue scale(VAS).(3)Collecting 307 samples to conduct the analysis of the entire items in the draft scale,through the result of the data analysis,6 inappropriate items are deleted,then the test version of the MLMS-2 is formed.(4)Collecting 200 clinical samples to test the reliability and validity of the test version.Reliability analysis results: using the alpha reliability coefficient method,the score of Chronbach's alpha coefficient is 0.848,higher than the standard.After deleting each items,most of the scores of Chronbach's alpha coefficient are between 0.818 and 0.847,and the coefficient did not increase,which means the reliability of the test version scale is good.Validity analysis: content validity testing result which is analyzed by Pearson correlation coefficient,shows all the items' score related to the total scale or dimensions are greater than 0.4,it means the scale content validity is good.The structure validity is verified by the confirmatory factor analysis method,the result shows all of the fit indexes are in line with the standard,and the structure validity of the scale is good.Then forming the official version of MLMS-2.(5)MLMS-2 and FS-14 are used for clinical evaluation.After correlation analysis,the result shows: the heat penetration from the back to chest,the heat penetration from the wrist to abdomen,upper extremities,lower extremities,buttocks,gastrointestinal reactions,emotional changes,the number of the heat penetration body part and overall body part are positively and highly correlated with the fatigue improvement.Neck,itching,hot wave,soreness,heat transfer are positively and significantly correlated with the fatigue improvement;Back,waist,burning pain is weakly correlated with the fatigue improvement.And it is initially concluded that the temperature difference of Shenque acupoint in the attached table is positively correlated with heat penetration and fatigue improvement.Conclusion: The modified long snake moxibustion sensation scale-2 has good reliability and validity.Compared with the original version,the dimension division and the items' contents of MLMS-2 is more representative,and the study on the relationship between the heat penetration and moxibustion efficacy is more in-depth.It is suitable for the clinical research.
