Objective: Using The meta-analysis to systematically evaluate the efficacy and safety of external application of external using traditional Chinese medicine for seborrheic alopecia,and to provide evidence-based medicine for clinical research.Method: Databases retrieved by computer include China How Net(CNKI),Weipu Chinese Science and Technology Periodical Database(VIP),Wanfang Data Resource System.The publication date of the retrieved documents is database establishment-December 31,2019.Screen out studies that meet the meta-analysis requirements based on the included inclusion and exclusion criteria.Statistical analysis of included studies using revman 5.3 software.Data analysis: A total of 14 studies were included in this systematic review,Includes 1167 patients with seborrheic alopecia,including 606 in the test group and561 in the control group.The intervention measures of the experimental group were external Chinese medicine treatment(including Waizhi Chinese medicine ointment,Chinese medicine decoction,etc.),The intervention in the control group was Western medicine.Meta analysis with Revman 5.3 software,Results hint: The total effective rate of external application of traditional Chinese medicine for seborrheic alopecia is higher than that of western medicine control group(RR=1.29,95%CI ? 1.21—1.38,Z=7.80,P<0.00001).The results of the meta-analysis were statistically significant(P<0.05).For oily hair after treatment,SMD=-4.15,95%CI(-7.11,-1.19),P ?0.006<0.05,Analysis results are statistically significant.Compared with western medicine,traditional Chinese medicine for the treatment of seborrheic hair loss has more advantages in improving greasy hair.Analysis of the occurrence of adverse reactions after treatment.OR=0.64,95%CI(0.09,4.62),Z=0.45,P=0.65>0.05,results are not statistically significant.Compared with western medicine,traditional Chinese medicine for treating seborrheic alopecia cannot reduce the incidence of adverse reactions.The results of subgroup analysis and sensitivity analysis are consistent with the above results.Results: In the treatment of seborrheic alopecia,traditional Chinese medicine forseborrheic alopecia is more effective than western medicine,Can significantly improve the total effective rate of clinical treatment of seborrheic hair loss,effectively improve the greasy condition of patients' hair.But in terms of adverse reactions,it is not dominant compared to western medicine.The quality of the literature in this systematic review is average,and more samples with large samples and high quality are needed to verify the results of this meta-analysis.
