Objective: By observing the clinical efficacy and safety of the therapy based on Ganduqing granules(main functions of this medicine are tonifying Qi and detoxifying)in treating common cold, this study intends to explore the possible mechanism of the antioxidant effect of Ganduqing on the treatment of Common Cold,so as to provide a basis for the further exploration of related clinical and basic research. Methods: 60 eligible subjects from the outpatient department of Chengdu Simaqiao community health service center were randomly assigned to the treatment group or the control group, with a ratio of 1:1.The treatment group was treated with Ganduqing granules, and the control group was treated with placebo. The changes of TCM syndrome scores, clinical symptoms and oxidative stress indexes before and after treatment in the two groups were observed.Meanwhile, blood routine and liver and kidney function tests were conducted to evaluate the safety of the test.Result: In this study, the treatment group was superior to the control group in the improvement of nasal congestion, runny nose and pharyngeal pain in the main symptoms of Common Cold(Qi deficiency and evil syndrome)(P < 0.05),and the treatment group was superior to the control group in the improvement of the total score of main symptoms(P < 0.05).In the course of this clinical trial, there were 3 adverse events,1 of which presented poor tolerance and 2 of which presented nausea. After taking the drug for 1 day,the above symptoms were relieved. In the whole process of the test,no serious adverse events occurred in all the subjects, indicating that the safety of toxic clear is good.In terms of the changes of antioxidant indexes of SOD,MDA,CAT and GSH-Px,the difference between the two groups was statistically significant in the comparison between the groups that reduced MDA and increased CAT(P < 0.05).Conclusion: 1.Ganduqing granules has the effect of improving Common Cold(Qi deficiency and evil syndrome)symptoms and significantly shortening the course of treatment, and it is safe and worthy of further clinical promotion.2.As for the antioxidant effect of sensorine on patients with Common Cold(Qi deficiency and evil syndrome),since it is still in the exploratory stage and calls for more relevant indicators that can prove the functioning mechanism of Ganduqing in treating common colds.More clinical and basic researches should be invited to further explore and provide a basis for the development of new treatment options and medications in the future. |
