Objective: In this study, the scapula morphology was measured by 3d method and its correlation with subscapularis injury. Methods: The CT data of 54 patients who degenerative rotator cuff injury after arthroscopic surgery and 22 healthy person were trospectively studied.According to the diagnosis after arthroscopy, there were divied into 3 groups: subscapularis injury group(group A),rotator cuff injury but without subscapularis injury group(group B)and healthy group(group C).Mimics software was used to Building 3D models of the scapula. The positions of the coracoid and glenoid cavity were evaluated on the constructed model, then the length of the coracoid, the anterior-posterior distance of coracoid, the height of the coracoid, the version angle of glenoid and the inclination angle of glenoid were measured,And analyzed and compared each set of parameters to elucidate the relationship between scapula morphology and subscapularis muscle injury. Results: In this study, there were 28 cases in group A:the length of the coracoid is(21.32 ± 3.83)mm,the anterior-posterior distance is(23.52 ± 4.04)mm,the height of the coracoid is(20.76 ± 3.35)mm,the version angle of glenoid is(-2.99± 3.27)°,and the inclination angle of glenoid is 107.82(101.59--112.04)°;26cases in group B:the length of the coracoid is(18.95 ± 2.36)mm,the anterior-posterior distance of the coracoid is(22.83 ± 2.37)mm,the height of the coracoid process is(23.33 ± 2.7)mm,and the version angle of glenoid is(-2.28 ±4.9)°,the inclination angle of glenoid is 110.19(105.86--118.72)°;22 cases in group C:the length of the coracoid is(17.75 ± 2.69)mm,the anterior-posterior distance of coracoid is(24.03 ± 3.65)mm,and the height of coracoid is(22.86 ±3.64)mm,and the version angle of glenoid is(-2.83 ± 4.4)°,the inclination angle of glenoid is 110.37(104.9--118.02)°Comparison between group A and B: the height of the coracoid process, the length of the coracoid, and the inclination angle ofglenoid were statistically significant(P<0.05),while the anterior-posterior distance and the version angle of glenoid were not statistically significant(P>0.05).Comparison between group A and C showed that the statistical significance in the height of the coracoid process, the length of the coracoid process, and the inclination angle of glenoid(P<0.05),but no statistical significance in the anterior-posterior distance of coracoid and the version angle of glenoid(P>0.05).There was no significant difference in all measurements between the group C and B(P>0.05).Conclusion: 1.The position of the coracoid was related with the subscapularis injury. The longer in length and the lower in position, the coracoid will be more likely to cause subscapularis injury, while the anterior-posterior distance has no obvious correlation with the subscapularis ingury.2.The inclination Angle of the glenoid cavity is related to the subscapularis injury,The smaller in the inclination angle,it is more likely to cause subscapularis injury, while the version angle of glenoid has no obvious correlation with the subscapularis ingury.
