Objective:To explore the anatomy of the subscapularis and its adjacent structures to provide the anatomical data and reference for clinical treatment.Methods:16 adult shoulder cadavers specimes were measured. To explore the anatomy of the subscapularis and its adjacent structures,we observed and measured the following datas under neutral position:1.The distance between the highest point of insertion of subscapularis at the less tubercle of humerus and the coracoid process.2.The distance between the upper edge of the subscapularis and coracoid.3.The width of the subscapularis insertion in the less tubercle of humerus.4.he length of the tendon of the subscapularis.5.The width and thickness of the subscapularis from 2.0 cm at the less tubercle of humerus.6.The distance between the junction of the subscapularis and axillary and less tubercle of humerus.7.The distance between the lower edge of the subscapular muscle and the lower axillary nerve at 2.0 cm from the less tubercle of humerus.8.The distance between the axillary nerve into the quadrilateral foramen and the less tubercle of humerus.9.The angle under the different position of shoulder joint proneness of 90 degrees, neutral position?forearm pronation 90 degrees?forearm pronation 180 degrees respectively.Analysis results with SPSS statistical software.Results:1.The distance between the highest point of insertion of subscapularis at the less tubercle of humerus and the coracoid process is 2.500±0.009cm.2.The distance between the upper edge of the subscapularis and coracoid is 0.437±0.008cm.3.The width of the subscapularis insertion in the less tubercle of humerus is 3.188±0.009cm.4.The length of the tendon of the subscapularis is 3.122±0.008cm.5.The width and thickness of the subscapularis from 2.0 cm at the less tubercle of humerus is 3.822±0.009cm.0.524±0.008cm.6.The distance between the junction of the subscapularis and axillary and less tubercle of humerus is 3.022±0.008cm.7.The distance between the lower edge of the subscapular muscle and the lower axillary nerve at 2.0 cm from the less tubercle of humerus is 1.026±0.008cm.8.The distance between the axillary nerve into the quadrilateral foramen and the less tubercle of humerus is 4.042±0.008cm.9.The angle under the different position of shoulder joint proneness of 90 degrees, neutral position?forearm pronation 90 degrees?forearm pronation 1180 degrees respectively is 44.506±1.1820°?50.013± 1.093°?54.292± 1.201°,P<0.05,total groups efficiency had significant difference. Conclusion:By studying the anatomical characteristics of the subscapularis and adjacent structures,to provide a theoretical basis for the treatment of diseases related to subscapularis injury and guide shoulder movement.
