Clinical Observation On Tuina Manipulation For Varus Knee Osteoarthritis

Objective:By comparing the curative effect and imaging changes of two methods for treating varus knee osteoarthritis,the clinical efficacy and application value of Tuina manipulation treatment for varus knee osteoarthritis were evaluated.Methods: A retrospective study was conducted to collect the inverted knee osteoarthritis treated in the outpatient department of the Affiliated Hospital of Chengdu University of TCM between January 2018 and December 2019,using this research technique and oral celecoxib capsule treatment The patient's case information was Tuina manipulation +celecoxib group(observation group);the celecoxib group(control group)indicated that eligible cases were screened according to the criteria of exclusion,a total of 67 cases,118 knees were recorded.There were 35 cases in observation group and 32 cases in control group.Follow-up and record the corresponding indicators before and after treatment,including this aspects:(1)visual analogue scale(VAS);(2)Western Ontario and Mc Osteoarthritis Index-Master Osteoarthritis Index(VA3.1,WOMAC);(3)angle of articular surface of the knee joint;(4)femorotibial angle(FTA).After collecting the relevant data,they were all analyzed and processed with SPSS 25.0 statistical software to draw conclusions.Results:1.There were no significant differences in the general information,knee VAS score,WOMAC score,FTA angle,and knee joint gap angle of the two groups of patients before treatment(P > 0.05).2.After treatment,compared the VAS score was within P <0.05,and the difference was statistically significant.Compared with the observation group,the VAS score in the control group was significantly higher after treatment,and this difference was statistically significant(P <0.05).3.Compared after treatment the WOMAC score of each group was within P <0.05,the difference was statistically significant.Compared with the observation group,the WOMAC score of the control group was significantly higher after treatment,and this difference was statistically significant(P <0.05).4.The comparison of FTA angle and knee joint surface angle between the two groups after 6 months of treatment was not statistically significant.5.Evaluation of clinical efficacy: The effective rate of pain improvement in the treatment group was 94.29% after 1 month of treatment,and the effective rate of the control group was 90.63%(P <0.05),which was statistically significant;the functional improvement of the treatment group was effective after 1 month It was 91.48%,and the effective rate in the control group was 87.50%(P <0.05),which was statistically significant.6.A total of 67 patients in both groups,a total of 5 adverse reactions occurred.In the two groups,the proportion of adverse reactions occurred was low and not statistically significant.Conclusions: From the perspective of pain and joint function,the two methods of Tuina manipulation + celecoxib capsule group and celecoxib capsule group have a good therapeutic effect on the improvement of clinical symptoms of varus KOA.Moreover,the clinical effect of the Tuina manipulation + celecoxib capsule group on the varus KOA was significantly better than that of the celecoxib capsule group alone.From the perspective of imaging,the two groups have no significant effect on delaying the development of varus knee.There were no serious adverse reactions in the treatment of varus KOA in the two groups,and the treatment was safe and effective.In summary,the Tuina manipulation method selected in this study has certain clinical practical value for improving the clinical symptoms of varus KOA.
