Objective:To investigate the correlation of homocysteine?Interleukin-1? in type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)with Essential hypertension(EH).Methods:From October 2018 to March 2019 in our hospital,165 patients with T2 DM were enrolled,according to whether they were combined with EH,they were divided into T2 DM with EH group(90 cases)and pure T2 DM group(75 cases);pure 45 EH patients,45 subjects were used as controls.Collect base data of four groups,such as: high density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C),low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C),alanine transaminase(ALT),aspartate transaminase(AST),Triglyceride(TG),total cholesterol(TC),blood urea nitrogen(BUN),Uric acid(UA),serum creatinine(SCR),Body mass index(BMI),systolic blood pressure(SBP),diastolic blood pressure(DBP).Serum levels of Hcy and IL-1? were analysised by ELISA.Results: 1.Comparison of base data and the levels of serum Hcy?IL-1?:No significant difference in age,TC,LDL-C,ALT,AST and BUN among the four groups(P>0.05).In T2 DM with EH group,BMI?SBP?DBP?TG were significantly higher than that of control group,SBP?DBP?UA was higher than that of T2 DM group,TG was higher than that of EH group,HDL-C was lower than control group(P < 0.05);In T2 DM group,TG was higher than that of control group,and HDL-C was lower than control group(P < 0.05).In EH group,BMI was higher than control group,SBP was higher than T2 DM with EH group?T2DM group and control group,DBP was higher than T2 DM group and control group,SCR was higher than T2 DM group,and HDL-C was lower than control group(P< 0.05).Comparison the levels of serum Hcy and IL-1? in each group: T2 DM with EH group was significantly higher than EH group?T2DM group and control group(P < 0.05),while EH group and T2 DM group were significantly higher than control group(P < 0.05).(Table 1).2.Correlation analysis between serum Hcy and IL-1? and each variable:Hcy was positively correlated with BMI,TG,ALT,AST and UA,and negatively correlated with HDL-C.IL-1? was positively correlated with DBP,TC and UA.Hcy and IL-1? were positively correlated.(Table 2).3.Logistic regression analysis of serum Hcy,IL-1? and T2 DM with EH:Hcy [OR=1.902,95% CI(1.616-2.237)] and IL-1? [OR=1.090,95% CI(1.057-1.124)] were independent risk factors for type 2 diabetes mellitus with essential hypertension(Table 3).4.Comparison of serum Hcy and IL-1? between male and female in T2 DM with EH group:The levels of serum Hcy and IL-1? in male were significantly higher than those in female(P =0.029,P =0.031,all <0.05)(Table 4).Conclusions:Hcy and IL-1? are risk factors for T2 DM complicated with EH,and the simultaneous increase of both is of great significance for predicting and assessing T2 DM with EH.In patients diagnosed with T2 DM complicated with EH,the levels of serum Hcy and IL-1? levels in males are higher than those in females,which should be paid more attention.
