Objective To retrospectively analyze the clinical data of patients with essential hypertension and newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes hospitalized in the Department of Cardiology,General Hospital of Ningxia Medical University from January 2012 to December2016,and to investigate the risk factors and target organ damage in patients with hypertension and diabetes. Methods We collected 624 patients with primary hypertension and newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes who were hospitalized in the Department of Cardiology of our hospital from January 2012 to December 2016 as EH+DM group;81 patients with pure primary hypertension were also collected as EH group.General information for all patients, such as sex, age, ethnicity, whether or not to smoke, whether to drink, height, weight, body mass index(BMI),triglycerides(TG),total cholesterol(CHOL),high High density lipoprotein HDL,Low density lipoprotein LDL,Uric acid UA,Homocysteine HCY,etc.Data entry, sorting and statistics using SPSS 17.0 analysis.Results(1)There were significant differences in TG,BMI,and HCY between EH+DM patients and EH patients(P<0.05),in gender, age, ethnicity, smoking, alcohol consumption,BMI,CHOL,HDL,LDL,UA No significant difference(P>0.05).(2)The positive rates of coronary heart disease, stroke, cervical vascular plaque and total target organ damage in EH+DM group were higher than those in EH group(P<0.05).(3)The proportion of EH+DM combined with hyperhomocysteinemia(HHCY)was 89.7%,the proportion of EH combined with HHCY was 72.8%,and the proportion of EH+DM group HHCY was greater than that of EH group.Statistical differences(P<0.05).(4)There was significant difference in targetorgan damage with or without H-type hypertension(P<0.05).(5)OGTT,FPG,and HbA1 C are inconsistent in the range of diagnosis of type 2 diabetes. In this study, sensitivity: OGTT>HbA1C> FPG,specificity FPG> HbA1C> OGTT.The combined detection of FPG and HbA1 C can increase the detection rate of diabetes.Conclusion(1)Hypertensive patients with diabetes have more target organ damage than those with simple hypertension.(2)The proportion of H-type hypertension is higher in hypertensive patients with diabetes.(3)The proportion of target organ damage was higher in patients with H-type hypertension than those with hypertension or hypertension.(4)The sensitivity and specificity of diabetes diagnosed by HbAlc is moderate, and combined testing can help improve the detection rate of diabetes.
