Revision Of The Chinese Version Of Parent Irrational Belief Scale

Objective:Parent Irrational Belief Scale was introduced from the parent group of primary and middle school students,revised it in Chinese,explored and verified the factor structure for Chinese culture and tested its reliability and validity.Methods: A total of 1,000 questionnaires were distributed to the parent group,and 761 questionnaires were collected.The effective rate is 76.1%.The collected scale data were processed by statistical methods such as exploratory,confirmatory factor analysis and reliability analysis.In addition,irrational belief scales and dysfunctional condition assessment scales,which have been widely used and have good reliability and validity,are used to test the validity of the scale of this institute.After 3 weeks,100 research subjects in the tested population were randomly selected for retesting,and the collected data was used for retesting reliability analysis.Results: According to the item analysis,the 8th item whose correlation with the total score of the scale was <0.3 was deleted,and the 28 items were retained.The exploratory factor analysis showed that the extraction of two factors was appropriate,and the overall explanation rate of variance was 47.199%.Confirmatory factor analysis identified a double factor model.(c2/df =3.840,CFI = 0.844,GFI = 0.867,TLI = 0.832,RMSEA = 0.061,RMR = 0.073).The internal consistency reliability of the total scale and the two sub-scales score ranged from 0.868 to 0.915,and the retest reliability ranged from 0.786 to 0.885.The analysis of the scale used to correlate the validity of the standard with the revised Chinese version indicated that there was a significant correlation,and the validity test met the psychometric criteria.Conclusion: The Chinese version of the Parent Irrational Belief Scale has good reliability and validity.It can be applied to the measurement of parent irrational belief in Chinese parent group.
