Objective:(1)To examine the reliability and validity of the Chinese version of Obsessive Belief Questionnaire-44in Adolescents.(2)To investigate the performance and characteristics of obsessive beliefs in Chinese adolescents;(3) To explore the characteristic of the obsessive beliefs and the relationship with the obsessive-compulsive disorder symptoms in OCD patients.Methods:841adolescents were recruited by convenient sampling method from three universities in Changsha city.76OCD patients were recruited from the Second Xiangya hospital during January2011to January2012. All of the samples including adolescents and OCD patients were tested by the Chinese Version of Obsessive Belief Questionnaire-44, Yale-Brown Obsessive Compulsive Scale, Obsessive-Compulsive Inventory-Revised, Beck Depression Inventory and State-Trait Anxiety Inventory in my study.Results:(1)The Cronbach’s a coefficient of the OBQ-44was0.975; The Cronbach s a coefficiens of3factors were among0.926~0.947. The mean inter-item correlation coefficient of the OBQ-44was0.467; The inter-class correlation coefficients of OBQ-44’s three factors ranged from0.488~0.525. The intra-class correlation coefficients of the3factors ranged from0.779~0.867. Test-retest reliability is among0.513~0.54(P<0.01). The CFI=0.906; TLI=0.901;χ2/df=3.75; RSMEA=0.055, all of them met the criteria standards for adequacy of fit. There was significant positive correlation among Y-BOCS and OBQ-44and it’s three factors.(2)54of the841adolescents’ Y-BOCS≥16, and after further clinical interview,44adolescents were obsessive-compulsive disorder. The prevalence was5.2%. There was significant positive correlation among Y-BOCS and obsessive beliefs in the adolescent population.(3)Hierarchical regression analyses show that a obsessive belief may predict specific types of OC symptoms after controlling for general distress (as indexed by the BDI and BAI). The results indicate that all but one of the cognitive measures predicted at least some types of OC symptoms represented on the OBQ-44. After controlling for general distress, OBQ Responsibility/Threat Estimation predicted Washing, Checking, Obsessing, Mental Neutralizing and Hoarding subscales of the OCI-R, whereas the Perfectionism/Certainty subscale predicted the OCI-R Ordering scales. The OBQ Importance/Control of Thoughts subscale predicted the OCI-R Washing, Obsessing, Mental Neutralizing and Hoarding scales.Conclusion:(1) The Chinese Version of Obsessive Belief Questionnaire-44was of good reliability and validity in adolescents, which serves as an excellent measuring tool;(2) The prevalence of OCD in adolescents was5.2%. There was significant positive correlation among Y-BOCS and obsessive beliefs in the adolescent population;(3) Obsessive beliefs have obvious effect on OCD symptoms.
