Clinical Observation On Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy Of Both Lower Extremities With The Treatment Of Electroacupuncture And "Tongbi Bath Formula"

Objective: The clinical observation of electroacupuncture combined with "Tongbi Bath Recipe" as the treatment of diabetic peripheral neuropathy in the lower limbs was studied to evaluate the clinical effect of acupuncture combined with medicine on patients with diabetic peripheral neuropathy and explore new ideas and methods for treating this disease.Finally,an effective,safe and economical treatment for the clinical treatment of diabetic peripheral neuropathy of both lower limbs was provided.Methods: Sixty patients who were diagnosed with diabetic peripheral neuropathy of the lower extremities were ranked according to the time sequence of the first visit and randomly divided into a treatment group and a control group,which with 30 people in each group.The treatment group was treated by electro-acupuncture combined with Tongbi Bath Recipe while the control group was treated with oral cilostazol for 6 days as a course of treatment.After 4 courses,the score of TCM symptom and Toronto clinical system,the conduction velocity of the common peroneal nerve motor conduction velocity(MNCV),tibial nerve sensory conduction velocity(SNCV)and total effective rate of disease treatment.Result:1.After 4 courses of treatment in both groups,the total score of TCM symptom was lower than before treatment.The total score for the treatment group was significantly lower than that of control group(P <0.05);2.Before treatment,there was no significant difference in the Toronto clinical scoring system between the two groups(P> 0.05).After treatment,the score of both groups was lower than before and the treatment group was significantly better than the control group(P <0.05);3.Before treatment,there was no significant difference in the common peroneal nerve motor conduction velocity and tibial nerve sensory conduction velocity between the two groups(P> 0.05).The above-mentioned nerve conduction velocity in the treatment group was higher than that in the control group and the difference was significant(P <0.05);4.The total effective rate of disease treatment in the treatment group was 86.7% which is higher than that of the control group70.0%.The overall curative effect of the two groups was significantly different(P <0.05).Conclusion:1.Electro-acupuncture combined with "Tongbi Bath Recipe" and western medicine have therapeutic effects on diabetic peripheral neuropathy of both lower extremities.2.Electro-acupuncture combined with "Tongbi Bath Recipe" is significantly better than western medicine in improving clinical symptoms and signs.3.Electro-acupuncture combined with "Tongbi Bath Recipe" is significantly better than western medicine in improving the nerve conduction velocity(sensory,motor)of diabetic peripheral lower limb peripheral neuropathy.The curative effect is definitely affirmative.
