Clinical Observation Of Wenyangtongbi Decoction In The Treatment Of DPN Of Yang Deficiency And Cold Coagulation Type

PurPose:To observe the effect of Wenyang Tongbi Decoction on the improvement of TCM single symptom score,TCM syndrome score,nerve conduction velocity and Toronto score in patients with diabetic peripheral neuropathy(DPN)of Yang deficiency and cold coagulation type,and to evaluate its clinical efficacy and safety.Method:From April 2018 to January 2019,patients with type 2 diabetic peripheral neuropathy who met the inclusion criteria in the endocrine clinic of the First Affiliated Hospital of Heilongjiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine were selected and divided into treatment group and control group according to the principle of randomized control.Two groups of patients were given basic treatment,in which the control group took Mecobalamin tablets,500 ug,three times a day.The treatment group took Wenyang Tongbi Decoction on the basis of the control group,one dose of water decoction every day,150 ml in the morning and 150 mL in the evening.The two groups were treated for 12 weeks.Before and after the experiment,the improvement of TCM symptom score,TCM syndrome score,nerve conduction velocity and Toronto score were observed to evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety.Result:1.Comparison of changes in nerve conduction velocity: After treatment,the nerve conduction velocity of the two groups were improved(P < 0.05),and the nerve velocity of the treatment group was better than that of the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).2.Comparison of changes in TCM single symptom score: After treatment,the two groups of patients with limb numbness,pain,limb chills,fear of cold and other TCM single symptom score,the curative effect of treatment group was better than the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).3.Comparison of changes in TCM syndrome total score: After treatment,the total score of TCM syndrome in both groups decreased(P < 0.05),and the decrease in the treatment group was better than that in the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).4.Comparison of changes in TCM syndromes: After treatment,the marked efficiency and efficiency of the treatment group were higher than those of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).5.Comparison of Toronto score changes: After treatment,the Toronto score of both groups decreased(P < 0.05),and the treatment group was better than the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).6.There were no abnormalities in safety indexes before and after treatment in both groups.Conclusion:1.Wenyang Tongbi Decoction can improve TCM syndromes of DPN patients with Yang deficiency and cold coagulation.2.Wenyang Tongbi Decoction can improve the symptoms of limb numbness,pain,cold limbs,fear of cold and other symptoms in DPN patients with Yang deficiency and cold coagulation type.3.Wenyang Tongbi Decoction can increase nerve conduction velocity and decrease Toronto score in DPN patients with Yang deficiency and cold coagulation type.4.Wenyang Tongbi Decoction is safe and effective.
