Purpose Using the work Stressor-Detachment model as the theoretical framework,To explore the relationship between the care burden, psychological detachment, fatigue and negative emotions of the main caregivers of cancer patients, and provide an empirical basis for the fatigue and negative emotion intervention of the main caregivers of cancer patients. Methods A cross-sectional investigative study was used to study the 242 primary caregivers of cancer patients who were treated in the oncology department of two hospitals in a hospital in Anhui Province from December 2017 to April 2018.Zarit Caregiver Burden Interview,Psychological Detachment,Fatigue Scale-14,Self-Rating Anxiety Scale and Self-rating Depression Scale measure the level of care burden, psychological detachment, fatigue and anxiety and depression of the primary caregivers of cancer patients.Use univariate analysis, regression analysis, and testing for mediation and moderating effects to analyze the relationship between variables.Results(1)The average score of the primary caregiver for cancer patients was(29.67±13.61)points for care burden,There were statistically significant differences in the care burden in terms of age, education, work status, total care time, whether or not they were taken care of together, physical condition, patient tumor type, disease stage, and patient self-care level(all P <0.05).(2)The average score of the primary caregiver for cancer patients was(9.53±3.97)forpsychological detachment,There were statistically significant differences in the psychological detachment in terms of age, education, work status, physical condition, patient stage, and patient self-care(all P <0.05).(3)The average score of the primary caregiver for cancer patients was(6.4±3.61)points for fatigue, which is at a medium level. The caregiver fatigue was statistically significant in terms of age, work status, total care time, whether or not they were cared for together, physical condition, and patient stage of disease(all P <0.05).(4)The average score of the primary caregiver for cancer patients was(35.86±9.64)points for anxiety,The caregiver anxiety was statistically significant in terms of age, education, work status, physical condition, and patient self-care level(all P <0.05).(5)The average score of the primary caregiver for cancer patients was(35.56±10.01)points for depression,There were statistically significant differences in depression, age, education, work status, and physical condition among the caregivers(all P <0.05).(6)The caregiver care burden patients' primary caregivers is positively correlated with fatigue, anxiety, and depression, and psychological detachment is negatively correlated with the care burden, fatigue, anxiety, and depression.(7)Psychological detachment plays a full mediating role and moderating role between the care burden and fatigue.(8)Psychological detachment plays a mediating and moderating role between the care burden and anxiety and depression.Conclusions(1)The primary caregiver of cancer patients generally has a low-medium level of care burden;the level of psychological detachment is generally low,as high as 61.6% of carers are at a low level of psychological detachment.(2)The primary caregiver of cancer patients psychological detachment is significantly negatively related to the burden of care, fatigue and negative emotions.(3)Psychological detachment has a mediating and moderating role between the careburden and fatigue and negative emotions.
