Objective:1.Investigate the demoralization, illness representation and social support level of breast cancer patients to understand the current situation.2.Analyze the difference of the demoralization level of breast cancer patients in their general demographic and disease-related data.3.Analyze the correlation among the demoralization, illness representation and social support of breast cancer patients.4.Explore whether the illness representation of breast cancer patients can generate the demoralization through social support. The purpose of this study is to provide theoretical basis for the intervention study of improving the condition of demoralization in breast cancer patients. Methods: This study is a cross-sectional survey.By using convenient sampling method, the female breast cancer inpatients in two affiliated hospitals of Yan'an University and two third class A hospitals of Xi'an city from March 2019 to November2019 were selected as the study objects. The questionnaire of general demographic data,DS-MV,B-IPQ and MOS-SSS were filled in by patients themselves or by researchers.Epidata3.1 software was used to build database,SPSS 22.0 software was used to carry out descriptive statistics, independent sample t-test,one-way ANOVA and Person correlation analysis, and SPSS PROCESS Macro program and Bootstrap method were used to carry out intermediary effect analysis and test. Results: In this study,a total of 264 questionnaires were issued,249 of which were valid, with an effective recovery rate of 94.3%.In 249 cases of breast cancer, the total score of demoralization was(42.26±16.94),and the scores of sense of unconsciousness, emotional uneasiness, depression, helplessness and sense of failure were(6.28±4.38),(9.66±4.45),(11.13±4.07),(6.80±3.53),(7.32±3.21).The mean score of illness representation was(49.71±7.54),and the scores of cognitive representation, emotional representation and disease understanding were(28.59±3.82),(16.59±2.85),(4.53±3.25).The total score of social support was(60.40±12.31),and the scores of emotioninformation support, emotional support, emotional support and social interaction were(24.22±3.60),(14.02±3.80),(8.50±2.16),(13.65±3.75).The results of Independent Sample t-test and One-way ANOVA showed that there were significant differences in age, children, education level, work situation, personal monthly income and clinical stage(P<0.05).Pearson correlation analysis showed that there was a significant positive correlation between illness representation and demoralization(r =0.518,P<0.01),a significant negative correlation between social support and demoralization(r =-0.784,P<0.01),and a significant negative correlation between illness representation and social support(r =-0.420,P<0.01)..The results of mediating effect analysis showed that after controlling age, having children, education level, working condition, personal monthly income and clinical stage, illness representation had a positive predictive effect on demoralization ambition of breast cancer patients, and social support could play a part of mediating role in the relationship between illness representation and demoralization.Bootstrap test showed that the effect range of the mediating model was not the same Including 0,the value of intermediate effect is 0.399,and the proportion of intermediate effect is 45.82%.Conclusions: 1.Patients with breast cancer have a high level of demoralization and the phenomenon of demoralization is common;patients have a high score of illness representation and a negative cognition of the disease as a whole;social support is in the lower middle level;2.Some demographic characteristics and disease information have a significant impact on the loss of consciousness;3.Patients with breast cancer have a significant correlation between illness representation, social support and demoralization.4.Will social support play a part of intermediary role in the relationship between illness representation and demoralization, that is,illness representation can not only directly affect the level of demoralization of breast cancer patients, but also indirectly affect the demoralization through social support.
