Clinical Observation On The Therapeutic Effect Of Bushenyijing Formula On Vascular Cognitive Impairment Caused By The Deficiency Of Kidney Essence

Objective With the rapid development of China's economy and advances in medical science,China has entered an aging society,and the cerebrovascular diseases has increased year by year,resulting in the increase of Vascular cognitive impairment(VCI).Both Chinese and Western medicine are exploring the disease.However,the treatment has not yet been completely resolved due to the complexity of the disease and the complicated pathogenesis.In this study,the decoction related with Bushenyijing formula was used to treat the VCI incurred by the kidney essence deficiency,and the clinical effect and the mechanism of this decoction was discussed.Methods Eighty patients with cerebrovascular disease(cerebral infarction,cerebral hemorrhage)and cognitive dysfunction were selected.The patients were divided randomly into treatment group and control group with 40 cases in each group.These two groups of patients were given conventional drug treatment according to the condition(such as: control of blood pressure,lipid regulation,anti-platelet aggregation,etc.).Based on the setting,the control group was treated with piracetam tablets,and the treatment group was treated with Bushenyijing formula.Before the treatment,after 3 months of treatment,and after 6 months of treatment,the Mini-mental State Examination(MMSE)and the China Revised Adult Intelligence Scale(Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale-Revision of China,WAIS-RC)are used for comparing patients' cognitive function;modified Barthel index(MBI)is responsible for assessing patients' activities of daily living;the hs-CRP,IL-18,TNF-?,vascular dementia TCM syndrome score(the scale for the differentiation of syndromes of vascular dementia,SDSVD)is taken into account the evaluation of the patient's condition.Results Before treatment,there were no significant differences between the two groups in terms of general condition,MMSE,WAIS-RC,MBI,hs-CRP,IL-18,TNF-?,and SDSVD(P>0.05).After 3-and 6-month treatment,their MMSE,WAIS-RC,MBI,hs-CRP,IL-18,TNF-?,and SDSVD were significantly improved(P<0.05).Meanwhile,other indicators indicate that the 6-month treatment is much better than3-month treatment,and the difference is significant(P <0.05),except that IL-18 is not significantly improved(P>0.05).It is found through the comparison between these two groups that the treatment group was significantly better than the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion On the one hand,Bushenyijing formula can significantly improve the cognitive ability and daily life activity ability of patients with VCI caused by the deficiency of kidney essence,especially in the improvement of TCM syndromes ofrenal essence deficiency type VCI.In addition,after 3 months of treatment,the condition continued to improve at 6 months,and the effect at 6 months was better than that at 3 months.On the other hand,the mechanism of Bushenyijing formula may be to increase the blood flow of brain tissue through the action of activating blood circulation and removing blood stasis of traditional Chinese medicine,regulate inflammatory factors in multiple targets,reduce the level of inflammation,reduce the permeability of the blood-brain barrier and the integrity of neurons.
