Objective: This study aims to understand the medical students 'personal information and the status quo of professional and spiritual behaviors of social media,to explore the reasons for medical students' behavioral violations of the professional and spiritual behaviors of physicians,and to provide recommendations for regulating medical students 'social media behaviors to promote the healthy development of medical students.Research methods: 1.Qualitative analysis: Based on literature research,the rules and manuals for using social media exist on the official website of the top 100 medical schools in the 2018 Times Higher Education World Medical Rankings in the UK.As the research object,the qualitative analysis software Nvivo was introduced for analysis.2.Quantitative analysis: A cluster sampling method was used to conduct a questionnaire survey.A fifthyear medical student in clinical medicine(five-year program)internship at Shengjing Hospital of China Medical University was selected.A total of 330 questionnaires were distributed and 285 valid questionnaires were recovered,with a recovery rate of 86.4%.The questionnaire used was compiled on the basis of qualitative data analysis results.SPSS 22.0 software was used for data analysis.Single-factor Logistic regression analysis and multi-factor Logistic regression analysis were used.Results: 1.Qualitative analysis: Among the top 100 medical schools in the Thames Higher Education World Medical School Rankings in 2018,only 16 medical schools have guidelines for using social media.Use grounded theory to construct a theoretical framework for medical students' unprofessional professional mental behavior in a social media environment:(1)unprofessional professional mental behavior between medical students and patients in a social media environment;(2)medical students and classmates in a social media environment,Teach the bad professionalism between teachers;(3)The bad professionalism of medical students in the social media environment;(4)The bad professionalism in violation of the copyright of knowledge in the social media environment.2.Quantitative analysis:(1)90.2% of medical students have had bad professionalism on social media.(2)Binary logistic regression analysis single factor analysis results show that gender has a significant effect on the incidence of bad professional mental behavior on social media(P <0.05).(3)Multivariate analysis results of binary logistic regression analysis show that,compared with women,men have a higher probability of occurrence in the behavior of “ not paying attention to their medical student identity when posting messages on social media”(OR: 2.06,95% CI: 1.13 ~ 3.76),and have a lower probability of occurrence in the the behavior of "communication with patients on social media and become friends"(OR = 0.52,95% CI: 0.30 ~ 0.93).Regarding the factor of professionalism of medical students,the higher the professionalism score,the lower the probability of "communication with patients on social media and becoming friends"(OR: 0.74,95% CI: 0.56 ~ 0.97).Conclusions: 1.It is found that medical students in clinical practice have a higher incidence of bad professional mental behavior in the social media environment.2.Factors affecting the occurrence of bad professionalism in medical students' social media environment include gender and professionalism of medical students.3.Make targeted suggestions to reduce the occurrence of unhealthy professional mental behavior in medical students' social media environment.
