| BackgroundWith the rapid development of medical and nursing technology,higher requirements are placed on nurses’ professional knowledge and basic skills.However,the training of nurses’professionalism in China is far behind the development of nursing technology.This has attracted the attention of scholars in the nursing profession in China and has become an urgent problem to be solved in nursing education.This study takes nursing undergraduates as the research object and analyzes the attitude of professionalism level and influencing factors of nursing students through empirical research.On this basis,we focus the attitude of professionalism as the core variable and construct a structural equation model in order to lay the foundation for the evaluation and intervention of the attitude of professionalism of nursing students in the future.Objective1.Localize and revise the universal and widely used Hall’s professionalism inventory and evaluate its reliability and validity;2.Analyze the attitude of professionalism level and its influencing factors;3.Construct the theoretical model of the influence model among humanistic care ability,social support and attitude of professionalism.Methods1.Under the authorization of Prof.Snizek,the source scale was translated and revised by the Brislin classic model.Project analysis and exploratory factor analysis were performed on 457 nursing undergraduates by stratified random cluster sampling method.Confirmatory factor analysis was conducted on 324 nursing undergraduates.35 subjects were retested after 2 weeks for retest reliability.2.A total of 161 nursing undergraduates from 3 grades of an undergraduate nursing college in Jiangsu province were selected by cluster sampling method.The self-designed general information questionnaire and the Chinese revised Hall’s professionalism inventory were used for the survey.Descriptive analysis,independent sample t-test,one-way analysis of variance and multiple linear stepwise regression analysis were used to explore the attitude of professionalism level for nursing students and its influencing factors.3.A total of 450 nursing undergraduates from 3 grades were selected from 2 undergraduate nursing colleges in Jiangsu province by stratified random cluster sampling.This paper constructs and verifies the scientificity of the theoretical model of the influence model among humanistic care ability,social support and attitude of professionalism through structural equation model.Results1."The Chinese revised Hall’s professionalism inventory" has good reliability and validity.1.1 Reliability test(1)Internal consistency:The total Cronbach’s alpha coefficient of the scale was 0.75 and the subscale Cronbach’s alpha coefficient was 0.53 to 0.65,indicating that the scale had good internal consistency.(2)Retest reliability:The retest reliability of the scale was 0.84(p<0.01),indicating that the scale had good time stability.1.2 Validity test(1)Project analysis:The samples were divided into high and low groups according to the upper and lower 27%standard.The results of independent sample t-test showed that the differences between the two groups of all items were statistically significant(P<0.05),indicating that there was a significant degree of discrimination.In addition to item 17,the Pearson correlation coefficient of the total score of item and dimension ranges from 0.43 to 0.69,indicating that the content validity of the Chinese revised Hall’s professionalism inventory is relatively good.(2)Exploratory factor analysis:The model of 6 factors and 20 items was finally determined through exploratory factor analysis,and the cumulative contribution of variance was 56.02%.(3)Confirmatory factor analysis:The results of confirmatory factor analysis showed that the fitting indexes of model were all within the acceptable range(χ2/DF=1.624,GFI=0.929,CFI=0.911,IFI=0.914,NFI=0.803,RMSEA=0.044,SRMR=0.0597),indicating that the overall fitness of the scale was satisfactory.2.Investigation and analysis of attitude of professionalism level for nursing undergraduates and its influencing factors2.1 The attitude of professionalism level for nursing undergraduatesThe total score of the attitude of professionalism of nursing undergraduates was(66.02±6.95),which was above the average.From high to low,the scores of the six dimensions are"Sense of Calling to the Field","Belief in Public Service","Autonomy","Using the Professional Organization as a Major Referent","Nurses’job satisfaction" and "Belief in Self-Regulation".2.2 Investigation and analysis of influencing factors of attitude of professionalism level for nursing undergraduatesThe results of univariate and multivariate analysis of the attitude of professionalism of nursing undergraduates showed that the social status of nurses,the consistency between nursing profession and their professional interest and the attitude of most of nursing teachers towards nursing profession accounted for 41.10%of the total variation of the attitude of professionalism.3.Research on the influence model among humanistic care ability,social support and attitude of professionalism for nursing undergraduates based on structural equation model(1)The humanistic care ability level of nursing undergraduates has a direct influence on their social support level,and the path coefficient is 0.571.(2)The social support level of nursing undergraduates has a direct influence on the attitude of professionalism level,and the path coefficient is 0.778.(3)The humanistic care ability level of nursing undergraduates has a direct and indirect influence on the attitude of professionalism level,and the indirect effect(path coefficient is 0.445)has a greater influence on the attitude of professionalism level than the direct effect(path coefficient is 0.109).Conclusion(1)The Chinese revised Hall’s professionalism inventory had good reliability and validity and can be used to evaluate the attitude of professionalism level for nursing undergraduates.(2)The attitude of professionalism for nursing undergraduates is above the average,the social status of nurses,whether nursing profession is consistent with their own career interests,attitude for most of the nursing professional teachers towards nursing can affect the attitude of professionalism level for nursing undergraduates.Above all,nursing educators should be combined with the related factors to take intervention measures to improve the attitude of professionalism of nursing students.(3)The humanistic care ability level of nursing undergraduates has a direct influence on their social support level.The social support level has a direct influence on the attitude of professionalism level.The humanistic care ability level has direct and indirect influence on the attitude of professionalism level.Indirect influence is greater than direct influence;It is suggested that nursing educators can increase the humanistic care ability of nursing students through various ways,and promote the attitude of professionalism by improving their social support. |
