Clinical Observation On The Treatment Of Knee-hyperextension In Spastic Period After Stroke By Hui-acupuncture

Objective: To observe the effect of hui acupuncture on knee-hyperextension in the spastic period of stroke,and compare it with ordinary acupuncture.Motor ability of the paralysed limb is also be measured,revealing a practicle approach for the treatment of spastic paralysis after stroke.Method: 60 patients were randomly divided into hui-acupuncture group and common acupuncture group.On the basic of routine neurological treatment,rehabilitation and the same acupuncture points,hui-acupuncture group was given hui acupuncture treatment on their paralysed legs,the acupuncture points of Huantiao,Weizhong,Xuehai,and Yanglingquan.The other points were treated in regular ways.Common acupuncture group received common acupuncture without hui acupuncture.The treatment lasted for 30 minutes each time,twice a day.The patients were treated 5 days a week.After 8 weeks treatment,Loudon knee-hyperextension angle,the number of knee-hyperextension in 10-meter walking and Fugl-Meyer motor ability were examined.The results of trail were analyzed by SPSS20.0.Result:1.Both of the groups showed less Loudon Knee-hyperextension angle than before(P<0.01).And compared with common acupuncture group,the knee-hyperextension angle was significantly decreased(P<0.05);2.About the number of knee-hyperextension in 10-meter walking,both groups were significantly decreased(P<0.01),and hui-acupuncture group showed lower number(P< 0.05);3.Accroding to the score of Fugl-Meyer motor ability,two groups showed higher scores than before(P<0.01).The scores of hui-acupuncture group were significantly increased(P< 0.05);4.Hui-acupuncture group total effectiveness was 86.21%;common acupuncture group total effectiveness was 71.43%;And compared with common acupuncture group,the total effectiveness of Hui-acupuncture group was significantly higher(P< 0.05).Conclusion:1.Both ordinary acupuncture and hui acupuncture are significantly effective for knee-hyperextension in spastic period after stroke;2.Hui acupuncture can improve the paralysed limbs movement function,it can also alleviate knee-hyperextension angle and the number of knee-hyperextension better than common acupuncture.
