Objective:To observe the clinical effect of the "shaoshanhuo"acupuncture manipulation on DPN of Yang deficiency and cold coagulation syndrome. Methods:In the light of the random number table way,the 60 selected patients were separated into a control group and a treatment group,30 cases in each group. The control group was the conventional acupuncture group, and the treatment group was the "shaoshanhuo" acupuncture group. Both groups of patients were given basic treatment. The treatment group selected acupoints at both Shenshu,Zusanli,Yanglingquan,Xuanzhong,Taichong, and those with upper extremity symptoms added Quchi,Waiguan and Hegu.Zusanli and Quchi was used with the "shaoshanhuo" acupuncture manipulation, and the rest acupoints were used with conventional acupuncture manipulation. The needle was kept for 50 minutes once a day,and the treatment kept 2 consecutive courses while 2 weeks was a course. The control group used conventional acupuncture.Acupoints selection, frequency, and treatment duration were the same as those in the treatment group, and all acupoints were used with conventional acupuncture manipulation. The total scores of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)syndromes,TCSS scores and nerve conduction velocity were compared between the two groups before and after treatment, and the difference between the two groups was observed for statistical analysisResults:1.Curative effect:After treatment, the effective rate in the "shaoshanhuo"group was 86.67%,which was significantly higher than 70.00%in the control group(P<0.05)2.Total scores of TCM syndromes:The scores of both groups reduced after treatment(P<0.01),and the "shaoshanhuo" group reduced more than the control group(P<0.05)3.TCSS scores:After treatment, the TCSS scores of both groups reduced(P<0.01),and the“shaoshanhuo”group reduced more than the control group(P<0.05)4.Nerve conduction velocity:After treatment, both tibial neural MCV and sural neural SCV in two groups increased(P<0.01),and the "shaoshanhuo"group increased more than the control group(P<0.05)Conclusions:1.Both the "shaoshanhuo" acupuncture method and conventional acupuncture method can improve the clinical symptoms of traditional Chinese medicine in DPN patients with yang deficiency and cold coagulation syndrome, and the "shaoshanhuo" acupuncture way is superior to conventional acupuncture method2.The "shaoshanhuo" acupuncture method and conventional acupuncture method can reduce the patient's TCSS scores, elevate neural conduction velocity, improve neural function, and the "shaoshanhuo" acupuncture way is superior to conventional acupuncture method3.The effect of the "shaoshanhuo" acupuncture on DPN of Yang deficiency and cold coagulation is higher than that of conventional acupuncture.
