ObjectiveThe establishment of a set of evaluation index system of core competence of diabetes case managers in line with China's national conditions provides a theoretical basis for the training and assessment of diabetes case managers,and also provides a new idea for the development of diabetes specialist nursing personnel.MethodsUsing the literature research,theoretical analysis and expert intervie-w to diabetes case management division of the related concepts and core competence item pool.On this basis,through a preliminary enquiry form the framework of evaluation index system,two rounds of Delphi expert enquiry and analytic hierarchy process to establish diabetes case management division core competence evaluation index system and weight;Finally,SPSS18.0and AHP were used for data analysis and weight processing.ResultsIn this study,21 consultation experts were finally included.In the two rounds of consultation,a total of 44 modification Suggestions were proposed by the experts,with the response rate of 100% and the authority coefficient of 0.831.After two rounds of expert letter consultation,the related concepts of diabetes case manager and the evaluation index system of core competence of diabetes case manager were preliminarily determined.The evaluation system includes 5 first-level indicators(clinical decision-making ability?interpersonal communication ability?quality monitoring ability?teaching guidance ability?clinical scientificresearch ability),13second-level indicators(assessment ability,planning ability,execution ability,etc)and 69 third-level indicators.The coordination coefficients of the first,second and third levels were 0.580,0.334 and 0.595 respectively,and the p-values after chi-square test were all less than 0.05.Analytic hierarchy process was used to calculate the weight results of the primary and secondary indicators,among which the weight coefficients of the five primary indicators were 0.4113 for interpersonal communication ability,0.2583 for clinical decision-making ability,0.1756 for quality monitoring ability,0.0963 for teaching guidance ability,and 0.0585 for clinical scientific research ability.The CR value of the indicator consistency test was between 0.009 and 0.0341,all less than0.1.ConclusionThe evaluation index system of core competence of diabetes case manager was established,covering 5 first-level indicators,13 second-level indicators and 69 third-level items.The index system has good credibility and can be used as the evaluation basis of core competence of diabetes case manager.
