Research The Treatment For Derotation Osteotomy For Congenital Radioulnar Synostosis In Children

Background:Congenital radioulnar synostosis is a rare congenital forearm bone malformations,the radial and ulnar proximal mutual fusion,and distal fusion is extremely rare,the forearm fixed on angle of pronation deformities.Patients have forearm rotation dysfunction,affected the normal daily life seriously.At present,rotational osteotomy is used widely,but there are many surgical methods,and the postoperative efficacy of each method is still not exact.We improved the rotational osteotomy and selected the same plane for osteotomy.Now,the forearm function of patients before and after surgery is compared to evaluate the postoperative efficacy of rotational osteotomy.Objective:To assess the efficacy of children congenital radioulnar synostosis with the rotational osteotomyMethod:From 2013 to April 2019,27 cases of children with congenital radioulnar synostosis were retrospectively analyzed,23 cases(85%)male,female 4 cases(15%).Bilateral 12 cases(42%),unilateral 15 cases(58%)(on the left side of the 8 cases(32%),7 cases(26%)on the right side).3?13 years old(average 5.6 years).We use the Activities of daily living item scores to assess patients' postoperative daily living ability.Result:This group of 27 cases,Postoperative average corrective angle is 0?20°(mean 8.33±7.980),The last postoperative average corrective angle is 0?20°(mean 8.33±7.98°)average healing time was 5.6 weeks after surgery,26 patients postoperative healing is good,only 1 patient occurred delayed union,and the forearm cast fixed 1 more month.No postoperative complications occurred.Preoperative patients with postoperative Activities of daily living item scores evaluation score,department of health and care project:Preoperative:3.33±0.27;Postoperative:4.38±0.28.Diet-activities-related-project:Preoperative:3.30±0.30;Postoperative:4.38±0.22;.Environmental-interactions:Preoperative:4.13±0.23;Postoperative:4.52±0.22;.Compared with preoperative postoperative project score,daily life have statistical differentConclusion:Rotational osteotomy is a simple treatment with short learning curve,little trauma and few postoperative complications.Used in the treatment of children congenital ulnar radial fusion can obtain good effect.
