Objective: To observe the clinical effect of acupuncture combined with western medicine on rheumatoid arthritis(RA).Methods: 40 patients who met the diagnostic criteria of western medicine and the syndrome differentiation criteria of phlegm and stasis syndrome were divided into treatment group and control group randomly, with 20 cases in each group. In the control group,Methotrexate Tablets 10mg/time,orally,once a week;folic acid tablets 5mg/time,orally,once a week;acupuncture was added to the control group Treatment and acupoints: Yinlingquan,Sanyinjiao,Diji,Xuehai,Zusanli, and according to the meridian differentiation of the pain site, select the acupoints and infusion points of the meridian, once every other day,3 times a week 4 weeks is a course of treatment,a total of 3 courses of treatment. The number of tender joints, swelling joints, morning stiffness, visual analogue score(VAS),Erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR),and C-reactive protein(CRP)before and after treatment, respectively),Rheumatoid factors(RF)and TCM syndrome scores for comparative analysis.Result:(1)Evaluation of the efficacy of the disease: After the end of the treatment course, the efficacy evaluation of the two groups were as follows: Treatment group: 4 cases with marked effect,9 cases with improvement,3 cases with effect,4 cases with no effect, the total effective rate was 80%;There were 6 cases of progress,7 cases of improvement,7cases of inefficiency, and the total effective rate was 65%.The comparison between groups was Wilcoxon rank sum test,Z=-2.225,P=0.033(P<0.05),and the difference was statistically significant. It can be considered that the treatment group is better than the control group.(2)Evaluation of laboratory indicators and clinical indicators: Compared with the results of clinical indicators and laboratory indicators before and after treatment, the swelling joint count, tender joint count, morning stiffness time,VAS score,ESR,CRP,RF,and TCM syndromes In terms of physical score scores, the P values within the group before and after treatment were all less than 0.01,which has significant statistical significance, suggesting that both the treatment group and the control group had significant curative effects, and that the comparison between the groups after treatment was P<0.05,which was statistically significant.,Indicating that the treatment group is more effective than the control group.(3)Efficacy evaluation of TCM syndromes: Efficacy evaluation of two groups of TCM syndromes before and after treatment were as follows: Treatment group: 0 cases were cured,5 cases were markedly effective,12 cases were effective,3 cases were ineffective, and the total effective rate was 85%;control group: 0 cases were cured,2 cases were markedly effective,11 cases were effective, and 7 cases were ineffective. The total effective rate was 65%.The comparison between the groups was Wilcoxon rank sum test,Z=-1.690,P= 0.134(P>0.05),and there was no significant difference.significance.Conclusion: Acupuncture combined with western medicine can improve the clinical symptoms of patients with RA with phlegm stasis and obstruction, and it has a better effect than that of the western medicine group.
