Objective:To investigate the prevalence of chronic diseases among hami residents, explore the main influencing factors of chronic diseases, and provide scientific basis for nutrition and health education related to the prevention and control of chronic diseases among hami residents. Methods:A multi-stage stratified cluster sampling method was adopted to conduct a questionnaire survey and physical examination on permanent residents aged 18 or older in hami city. The questionnaire included demographic information(gender, ethnicity, age, education, marital status, occupation and other basic demographic data),health-related behaviors(smoking, drinking, physical exercise)and chronic diseases.Physical examination includes height, weight, waist circumference. The data obtained were input with EpiData 3.1 and exported, and SPSS 22.0 software was used for statistical analysis.Chi-square test was used for comparison of the rate and ratio of components, and multivariate Logistic regression was used for risk factors of chronic diseases. Results: 1.Hami residents ranked the first five according to the prevalence of different chronic diseases, including hypertension, coronary heart disease, diabetes, osteoporosis and cerebrovascular diseases, with the prevalence of 22.3%,9.1%,8.9%,5.9% and 4.5%,respectively.With the increase of age,the prevalence of hypertension, coronary heart disease, diabetes, osteoporosis gradually increased.2.A multi-factor analysis was conducted on the influencing factors of the first three diseases, and the results showed that the age of 45 ~ 59 years old(OR=4.055),60 years old and over(OR=9.274),overweight(OR=1.035)and obesity(OR=2.077)were the risk factors for hypertension.Men(OR=1.820),overweight(OR=1.105)and obesity(OR=2.831)were risk factors for coronary heart disease, while underweight(OR=0.669)was a protective factor for coronary heart disease.Age 45 ~ 59(OR=3.763)and age 60 OR above(OR=4.628)were risk factors for diabetes, while gender(OR=0.770)was a protective factor for diabetes. Conclusion: The five most common chronic diseases in hami city are hypertension, coronary heart disease, diabetes, osteoporosis and cerebrovascular diseases. The prevalence of major chronic diseases in hami city is related to gender, age, education level, occupation, marital status, annual family income, nutrition knowledge and BMI.
