Clinical Efficacy Of Zilian Ointment In The Treatment Of Chronic Wounds

Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of Zilian ointment on healing of chronic wounds.Methods:15 patients with chronic refractory wound and underwent medical care in the wound ostomy nursing clinic of the First Affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical University were selected.The patients were treated with Zilian ointment for external use every other day,and then wound healing was assessed by observing the growth of the granulation tissue,alleviation of pain,and secretion of wounds at the 1st,2nd,3rd,4th and 5th week.Wound areas of patients which are not fully recovered were measured for calculating the wound healing rate.All statistical analyses were performed by using SPSS software.Results:Wound healing was significantly improved after treatment with Zilian ointment for 1?5 weeks.The cure rate was 20%and the total effective rate was 100%.The growth of the granulation tissue was significantly improved(P<0.01),secretion of wounds was significantly decreased(P<0.01)and the pain was significantly relieved(P<0.01)compared with untreated patients.Conclusions:In the treatment of chronic wounds,the external application of Zilian ointment significantly reduced the pain of wounds,decreased wound secretions,and facilitate the wound healing.Zilian ointment is worthy of promotion in the treatment of chronic wounds.
