Objective By randomly setting observation group and control group, the effect of whole body vibration training on balance function of elderly patients with senile cataract after operation was observed, which provided basis for clinical rehabilitation treatment and helped prevent senile patients from falling. Methods Sixty elderly patients who had recently completed binocular cataract surgery were randomly divided into observation group(30 cases)and control group(30 cases). In the later follow-up,there was 1 case lost in the control group, and 59 cases were included in the final follow-up.The observation group received whole body vibration training and routine rehabilitation treatment, while the control group received routine rehabilitation treatment. Before treatment,4 weeks after treatment and 8 weeks after treatment,Berg Balance Scale, balance instrument and the timed "Up&Go"test were performed in the two groups. Results At the 8th week of treatment, the Berg Balance Scale evaluation results of the observation group were higher than those of the control group, and the results of the balance instrument test and the timed "Up&Go"test were lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).There were differences between the groups before and after treatment for 4 weeks and 8 weeks(P<0.05).Conclusion Whole body vibration training can more effectively improve the balance function of elderly patients with senile cataract after surgery, and help prevent falls of the elderly.Clinical rehabilitation therapy is safe and effective, and worth promoting.
