Objective:To evaluate the intervention effect of a mobile phone vaccination application(APP)on quelling the impact of the emergency on immunization work and restoring parents' confidence in vaccination,and to provide rationalization advice to control such public health emergency and references for further promotion of vaccination efforts in the future.Methods:Through quasi experimental study design,multi-stage simple random sampling method was used to select 1050 parents of ?2 year old children with APP installed as the intervention group,and 1050 parents of ?2 year old children without APP installed as the control group from 75 vaccination clinics in Luohu and Longgang districts in Shenzhen;The baseline survey and the final survey on immunization knowledge,vaccination attitudes and behaviors were conducted in Apr.1st-30th and Aug.15th-Sep.15th 2016 respectively;Difference-in-Difference(DID)method was used to assess the net effect of the intervention.Results:(1)The results of the immunization knowledge awareness rate showed that:after the intervention,the parents of the intervention group and the control group had an increase in the correct response rate for the two knowledge questions related to the Shandong Illegal Vaccine Selling Event(P<0.05),but the correct response rate of the intervention group increased more significantly.And the results of DID method showed the intervention had obvious effect on increasing immunization knowledge,the interactive coefficient of intervention and time were:?=-1.15,-1.65;OR=0.32,0.19;P<0.05.(2)The results of attitudes on Shandong Illegal Vaccine Selling Event showed that at the end of the investigation,both the intervention group and the control group had improved attitudes toward vaccine safety(P<0.05),but the intervention group improved more significantly.The proportion of parents who appeared vaccine hesitancy in the two groups decreased at the final investigation(P<0.05),but the intervention group decreased more,decreasing by 45.54 percentage points,while the control group only decreased by 19.33 percentage points.And the results of DID method showed the intervention had significant effect on improving vaccination attitudes,the interactive coefficient of intervention and time were:?=-1.50,-0.59,-1.74,-0.58;OR=0.22,0.55,0.17,0.56;P<0.05.(3)The results of the vaccination coverage rate of the children showed that:the vaccination coverage rates of Category ? Vaccines were above 90%in the intervention group,at the meanwhile,the inoculation rates of HepB3,PV3,DTaP2,DTaP3 and MR1 were significantly higher than that before intervention(P<0.05);The timely vaccination rates of HepB3,PV3,DTaP3,and MR1 were also significantly improved after intervention(P<0.05).In the intervention group,vaccination coverage rates of the selected Category ? Vaccines,HIB and Rot,were higher than before,increasing by about 20 percentage points after the intervention.But in the control group,only the HepB3,PV2,DTaP3,MR1 vaccination coverage rate and the timely vaccination rate of PV3 and DTaP3 were significantly increased after intervention(P<0.05).In the meantime,vaccination coverage rates of the two above-mentioned Category II Vaccines did not differ before and after the intervention in the control group(P>0.05).Conclusion:The mobile phone vaccination application can increase the immunization knowledge of parents,improve their vaccination attitudes,and promote the vaccination coverage rates and timely vaccination rates of children after the Shandong Illegal Vaccine Selling Event.
