ObjectiveAiming at the key links and core problems in drug supply management in public hospitals,this paper combines lean management theory to explore the optimization strategy of drug supply management in public hospitals that is scientific,efficient,reasonable and economical,so as to solve various problems in drug supply management in public hospitals,reduce errors,reduce waste and create value.At the same time,it provides new ideas for the development of public hospitals and the continuous reform of medical and health system.MethodsTaking five public hospitals in a city as samples,through in-depth interviews and on-site observation,from the organization,system construction,business process,information construction,the current public hospital drug supply management system is analyzed and summarized.Combined with lean thinking and using lean management methods and tools,this paper analyzes the problems of pharmaceutical supply management in public hospitals from the perspective of value flow,field management,pharmacy personnel management and supplier management.ResultsThe prevailing public hospital drug supply management system is based on Hospital Information Management System,the traditional dominated by hospital drug supply process as the main line,with related personnel and supply management system construction of drug supply management system.The current public hospital drug supply management has many problems,such as the procurement planning not scientific,data are not accurate;Large acceptance workload,slow speed,long time and low efficiency;Bookkeeping is slow and errors often occur;Drug procurement process and the processes of centralized drug procurement are parallel with a large number of repetitive work;The whole process has many links and is complex and discontinuous;The overall process takes a long time,the comprehensive management efficiency is low,the classification of drugs is not strict,and the placement is random;The position of drugs is not reasonable,there is a large amount of handling waste of commonly used drugs;Goods location and drug labeling are not clear;Lack of special label,similar information of some drugs,similar packaging,easy to confuse;There are many kinds and specifications of drugs,and the packaging is changed.Conventional drugs are dismantled more than once.It is not convenient to manage pharmaceutical personnel based on their experience,and their professional competence needs to be improved.The performance incentive mechanism is not perfect.There are many suppliers and their abilities are uneven.Lack of scientific management of drug suppliers;Hospitals operate in isolation from suppliers and do not share information.ConclusionBased on lean management,the optimization strategies of drug supply managementin public hospitals are as follows.The first,relying on efficient information technology,the drug supply process of lean value stream is constructed.The second,Using lean tools to strengthen site management;The third,peopleoriented and promoting personnel development;The forth,developing lean suppliers and establishing long-term cooperation;The last,optimizing the policy environment andpromoting lean management.
