| Objective:In order to observe the clinical efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine and the levels of zinc,gastrin and urine amylase as well as to explore the possible mechanism of efficacy,we used Yi-qi Yun-pi prescription to treat anorexic children with deficiency of qi in spleen and stomach,and compared it with zinc gluconate solution.The height and weight of the children were followed up for 2 months after drug withdrawal,and the BMI value was calculated to determine the improvement of height and BMI by Yi-qi Yun-pi prescription.Methods:60 children with anorexia who met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into the traditional Chinese medicine group and the western medicine group.The traditional Chinese medicine group was given Yi-qi Yun-pi prescription,while the western medicine group was given zinc gluconate solution.The course of treatment was one month.Before and after treatment,the physical indexes and TCM symptom scores of the children were recorded,and the concentration of zinc,gastrin and urine amylase were detected.The recurrence rate and height and weight indexes were followed up 2 months after drug withdrawal.SPSS26.0 software was used for statistical analysis of the data to evaluate the efficacy and further explore the efficacy mechanism.Results:(1)Comparison of comprehensive efficacy:After treatment,13 cases were cured,accounting for 43.33%;11 cases showed obvious effect,accounting for 36.67%;5 cases were effective,accounting for 16.67%;1 case was ineffective,accounting for 3.33%;the total effective rate was 96.67%.In the western medicine group,6 cases were cured,accounting for 20%;8 cases showed obvious effect,accounting for 26.67%;11 cases were effective,accounting for 36.67%;5 cases were ineffective,accounting for 16.67%;the total effective rate was 83.33%.The curative effect of the traditional Chinese medicine group was significantly better than that of the western medicine group(P<0.05).(2)Change of TCM syndrome score:The clinical symptoms of the children in the two groups were improved compared with the previous treatment,and all symptom scores except scores of body weight were significantly improved after treatment(P<0.01).The weight symptom scores in the Chinese medicine group were significantly improved after treatment(P<0.01),and the weight symptom scores in the western medicine group were improved after treatment(P<0.05).There was no significant difference between the traditional Chinese medicine group and the western medicine group in improving appetite,complexion,fatigue,tiredness and weight(P>0.05).The traditional Chinese medicine group was superior to the western medicine group in improving food intake,abdominal distention and stool quality(P<0.05).(3)Comparison of laboratory indicators:After traditional Chinese medicine treatment,the concentration of zinc did not increase significantly(P>0.05).Urine amylase and gastrin levels increased significantly(P<0.05).After western medicine treatment,the concentration of zinc and urine amylase increased significantly(P<0.05),while the concentration of gastrin did not increase significantly(P>0.05).There was no significant difference in the improvement of urinary amylase between the two groups(P>0.05).(4)Comparison of height,BMI and recurrence rate:Through statistical analysis of the height and BMI values during follow-up,it was found that both the traditional Chinese medicine group and the western medicine group could improve the height and BMI values of the children(P<0.05),and there was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).According to the anorexia rating scale,there were 2 cases of recurrence in the traditional Chinese medicine group with a recurrence rate of 6.67%,and 5 cases in the western medicine group with a recurrence rate of 16.67%.Conclusion:Traditional Chinese medicine Yi-qi Yun-pi prescription has a considerable clinical effect on anorexic children with deficiency of qi in spleen and stomach,and can effectively improve the clinical symptoms of children,especially in the improvement of food intake,abdominal distention,stool characteristics.Yi-qi Yun-pi prescription can improve the concentration of gastrin and urine amylase in children.Yi-qi Yun-pi prescription significantly improved the height and BMI of children.After follow-up,it was found that the recurrence rate of the children treated with traditional Chinese medicine was significantly lower than that of the western medicine group. |
