Effect Of Scalp Acupuncture Combined With Body Acupuncture On Nervous Tinnitus:a Controlled Study

Objective:The purpose of this study is to explore the role and mechanism of scalp acupuncture in the treatment of nervous tinnitus,to compare the clinical effect of scalp acupuncture combined with body acupuncture and single body acupuncture on treating of nervous tinnitus,and to provide optimized ideas and methods for acupuncture application in the treatment of nervous tinnitus.Methods:This study included 60 patients who met the inclusion criteria,and were randomly divided into two groups:treatment group(n=30),with combination of scalp and body acupuncture treatment;control group(n=30),with single body acupuncture treatment.The two groups were both treated with mecobalamin capsules,one capsule per time,three times a day,lasting for 2 courses of treatment,a total of 8 weeks.Before treatment and after treatment,visual analogue scale of tinnitus loudness,tinnitus severity evaluation index and scoring standard,Pittsburgh sleep quality index(PSQI)evaluation scale were evaluated.All data were recorded,and statistically analyzed with SPSS 22.0 software.Results:(1)There is no statistically different in gender,age,location,course,sleep status,pre-treatment VAS score,tinnitus severity evaluation index and scoring standard,and PSQI score(P>0.05)between treatment group and control group.(2)After two courses of treatment for 8 weeks,when comparing to the control group,there were significant decrease in the VAS score and tinnitus severity evaluation index and scoring standard in treatment group(P<0.05),which indicates that treatment group obtained a better outcome than the control group;Except for "hypnotic drugs",there were significant differences in the total score of PSQI and other items between the two groups(P<0.05),and the treatment group was better than the control group.(3)The total effective rate was 96.6%in the treatment group and 85.7%in the control group respectively.After the rank sum test,the outcome of treatment group was better than the control group(P=0.018<0.05).Conclusion:(1)Scalp acupuncture combined with body acupuncture and single body acupuncture are both effective treatments for patients with nervous tinnitus.(2)The clinical effect of scalp acupuncture combined with body acupuncture on nervous tinnitus is better than that of single body acupuncture treatment.(3)Scalp acupuncture combined with body acupuncture is better than single body acupuncture in improving sleep quality.
