Objective: This study analyzed the job burnout and sleep quality of oil workers, and explored the impact of job burnout and sleep quality on work ability.By establishing the structural equation model, the path relationship between job burnout, sleep quality and work ability was explored. Methods: A questionnaire survey was conducted on the oil workers who underwent occupational disease physical examination in karamay central hospital of Xinjiang by cluster sampling. The Chinese version of burnout scale(MBI-GS),Pittsburgh sleep index scale(PSQI)and work ability index scale(WAI)were used to evaluate the level of job burnout, sleep quality and work ability of the investigated subjects. Results: 1)A total of 2086 oil workers were investigated in this study.Under the comparison of different demographic characteristics such as gender, age, length of service, shift work, smoking, drinking and education level, there were statistically significant differences in the occupational burnout and sleep quality of oil workers(P<0.05).The degree of job burnout of female was higher than that of male(P<0.05).The respondents aged 30-39 showed the highest degree of job burnout, and the respondents aged 50 and above showed the lowest degree of job burnout(P<0.05).Among the occupational characteristics, there was a statistical difference in the level of job burnout of oil workers under the comparison of length of service and shift work(P<0.05).The degree of job burnout of smokers and drinkers in daily life was lower than that of non-smokers and non-drinkers(P<0.05).2)The incidence of sleep disorders among oil workers was 34.32%.There were statistical differences in the incidence of sleep disorders among different demographic characteristics, gender, age, nationality, type of work, length of service, shift work, smoking, drinking, professional title, education level and marital status(P<0.05).The incidence of sleep disorders in women was significantly higher than that in men(P<0.05).The incidence of sleep disturbance in different jobs was 41.4% for oil transfer,34.0% for drilling and 27.6% for oil production. The incidence of sleep disorders in workers with more than 15 years of service was higher than that in workers with shorter service life(P<0.05).The incidence of sleep disturbance in shift shift was higher than that in fixed day shift(P<0.05).With the increase of professional titles, the incidence of sleep disorders tends to increase. The incidence of sleep disorders in junior, intermediate and senior professional titles is 26.0%,31.2% and 44.5%,respectively.3)There was no significant difference between job burnout and sleep quality except decreased sense of achievement, sleep efficiency, hypnotic drugs, daytime dysfunction, and total score of PSQI(P>0.05),and all other dimensions were correlated(P<0.05 or P<0.01).4)The working ability index of oil workers is 38.47±5.02.Among the four grades of working ability, the number of people with medium working ability and good working ability is the largest, accounting for 40.8% and 42.2% respectively.Demographic characteristics: gender, age, length of service, shift work, smoking, drinking, professional title and marital status, the differences in working ability index were statistically significant(P<0.05).5)Orderly logistic regression analysis showed that shift work(OR=1.409,95%CI.:1.177?1.687),smoking(OR=0.780,95%CI.:0.618?0.986),drinking(OR=1.374,95%CI.:1.130?1.674),moderate job burnout(OR=1.970,95%CI.:1.543?2.517),severe job burnout(OR=3.673,95%CI.:2.474?5.458)and Sleep quality(OR=1.298,95%CI.:1.069?1.574).The interaction between job burnout and sleep quality had an impact on work ability, and the other groups were all risk factors for work ability compared with the normal * zero burnout group.6)Through the establishment of the structural equation model between job burnout, sleep quality and work ability,it is found that there is a direct effect between job burnout, sleep quality and work ability, and there is a direct effect between job burnout and sleep quality.Sleep quality is an intermediary variable of job burnout's effect on work ability. Conclusions: 1)The number of oil workers in moderate job burnout accounts for 50.1%.Gender,age,educational background, length of service, shift and behavioral characteristics are the influencing factors of job burnout.2)The incidence of sleep disorders in oil workers was 34.32%,and the incidence of sleep disorders increased with the increase of job burnout.Female, age? 50 years old,han nationality, technical secondary school education or below, senior title, oil transportation worker,>15 years of service,shift,married,non-smoking and non-drinking oil workers have a higher incidence of sleep disorders.3)The majority of oil workers work ability are at a good(42.2%)and medium(40.8%)level.Shift work, smoking, drinking, job burnout and sleep disorders are the influencing factors of working ability.4)The interaction of the job burnout with sleep disorders to cause a decline in the ability to work, through the structural equation model of job burnout-sleep disorder-work ability found that increased job burnout and sleep problems can directly reduce the work ability of oil workers,at the same time higher job burnout will directly result in a sleep problem is aggravating,so sleep problems and job burnout indirectly reduce the ability to work in the middle of the variables.
