Objective: To investigate the effect of electro-acupuncture combined with exercise therapy on sports function of football players with the meniscus injury. In this way, football players can receive rapid and effective rehabilitation treatment after the meniscus injury in the process of sports,so that they can return to the game as so as feasible and achieve the purpose of spreading their career. It will provide a reference basis for the formulation of effective treatment plan for patients with knee meniscus injury in the future. Methods: Subjects who met the inclusion criteria of the ages of 18 to 25 of a diagnosis of meniscus?-?degrees damage of football athletes that the course of disease was less than 6mouths were collected and divided into experimental group and control group randomly. The subjects in the control group were treated with electro-acupuncture and sports therapy;the subjects in experimental group were treated with kinesi-therapy.The period of treatment was 12 weeks. At each time(before treatment, two weeks after treatment and twelve weeks after treatment)the subjects were valued by measuring Evaluating respectively Visual analogue scale(VAS),ROM,PT,FPT.IKDC.The data were sorted out and analysed by SPSS16.0 system.Independent sample t-test was used for inter-group comparison and one-way analysis of variance was used for intra-group comparison of test results. The population mean range was greater than 95%.P value <0.05 was regarded as significant differences.Results:1.VAS score: VAS scores of the experimental group and the control group were statistically significant at 2 weeks and 12 weeks, and at enrollment(P<0.05).At 2weeks,VAS scores between the two groups statistically significant(P<0.05).2.ROM score:The difference in ROM scores between the experimental group at 12 weeks and 2 weeks were statistically significant(P<0.05).The comparison of ROM scores between the control group at 12 weeks and those at enrollment and 2 weeks was statistically significant(P<0.05).At 12 weeks, the differences in ROM scores between the two groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).3.Muscle strength test score:There were statistically significant difference in PT scores between the experimental group and control group at 12 weeks after enrollment andat 2 weeks after enrollment(P<0.05).At 12 weeks, the difference in PT score between the group was statistically significant(P<0.05).4.IKDC score:The differences in IKDC scores between the experimental group and the control group at 12 weeks and the enrollment and 2 weeks were statistically significant difference in IKDC scores between the two groups(P<0.05).5.Three Functional Property Test scores:FPT scores of the experimental group and the control group were statistically significant at 12 weeks compared with that at enrollment and 2 weeks(P<0.05).At 12 weeks, the difference in FPT score between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions: 1.The exercise therapy can improve the motor function of football players with the meniscus injury.2.Electro-acupuncture combined with exercise therapy is more obvious than simple exercise therapy in the rehabilitation of football players with meniscus.
